The love is gone? Where did it go?
I have said this before, and It needs repeating. Gladiator, while it is in a EPA class with Ranger, Colorado, Frontier, and Tacoma, it is its own food group. None of those do what the gladiator does.
The compromises in ride, cabin noise level are there to bring you standard 4x4, a solid front axle, Dana 44s, removable doors, removable roof, fold down windshield, and 30" of fording ability. And that is every model from Sport to Mojave X. Lets see the other guys do any of that. Nope, none of it.
Anyone comparing Gladiator to anything else is not seeing the big picture. If you like comfort, and do not care about the sunshine on your brain, don't buy a Gladiator. If you are old school like me, and have owned jeeps for decades, love the open feeling, pull doors off at a moment's notice, roof off when you can, but also need a truck for truck stuff, then Gladiator is your truck
Gladiator is not the same as the others. I see people with Gladiators with everything off. That tells me they are like me; they bought Gladiator for what it can do. I also see Gladiators all closed up on nice days. This tells me they were comparing to other vehicles in the EPA class and got the gladiator. It is like buying a bikini and then wearing a shirt and shorts over it. Makes no sense.
There is a reason why the saying "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" exists.
