Well, having both is only good... With the sunrider... one can open and close the top as much as you want without getting out of the car... at as stop... etc... and the freedom tops are not taking up space in the truck as useless cargo... or if you need them... get out haul them out of the bed... etc... Having both is best for sure for me...

During the warmer months... I have no need for the freedom tops to be on the truck... if you know what I mean... once having the sunrider top...

Lite Brite on Youtube, convinced me when then changed over to the sunrider top... So, much more fun...

I guess this is the answer... opening and closing the sunrider top is fun... removing and replacing the freedom top is not... at least for me... given an alternative...

And wearing the sunrider, will look way more fun and cool...
Do you have an updated review? I've changed my mind and think the sunrider may be the way I'll be headed for the summertime. For those who've had the soft top, am I better off just waiting for that and installing that for the summer? I've never had a vehicle like this before so not sure what the correct answer is - just wait for the soft top or buy the sunrider and pass on the soft top.

For those of us waiting on the Granite LE, just spoke to the Concierge and she said they will hit production at the end of the month! I’m stuck in C Status hell but at least I see a little speck of light. She also said LE’s will go first but I don’t know if that’s true given the way the other colors have rolled out.

BTW - Love the pics and living vicariously through each delivery...

Did you have to swap out the TPMS from the JT to make it work?
The part number that shows for the JT regarding TPMS is on backorder already and prior to that it was on restriction. What's everyone here doing as far as TPMS?
Sorry for the delay, I did not swap sensors. I just bolted on the wheels and everything worked.

I have a Jk with the sunrider and just sold my JK8 with one. The sunder is awesome. After your first install (30 min) it only takes 20 the second time around if you swap back in the winter. I stopped swapping back after 1 winter. Sunrider is a little noisier than freedom panels but only marginally. Opening the sunder tales 3 seconds and does not leak in a carwash or heavy rain. Well worth the $799 for the twill top. Top quality.
I owned both the Vinyl and the twill tops on my JK'. Twill was much nicer. I also own a convertible so I will rarely remove the hardtop. You will not regret your purchase.

In the woods with it by Saturday morning.

Love it.
Congrats! Love the pics of the Gladiator in the wild. Saw you got the tubular doors. Where did you get them and how do you like them?

They are EAG doors. You can find them at a bunch of places including Amazon. I got them on sale with mirror for $250 shipped. I love the mirrors and for $250 for all 4 doors I am happy with them. I didn't have time to get the rear two to fit this morning but I am with some adjustments they will fit fine.

In the 250 to 400 range for four doors and mirrors. I think they are great doors.

Hello all, I just signed up for the forum to see what everyone will be doing with their JT's and to get some technical info as that develops. I ordered my Overland on May 11, and took delivery on Friday afternoon. I was originally on the list for the LE, but the dealership I was working with, Anchorage Chrysler Center, in Alaska told me they had an overland inbound. So being an impatient person I went ahead and arranged the purchase of the Overland. I couldn't be any happier with my first Chrysler product. I am a former Toyota guy, Taco and FJ Cruiser, I now see why so many people own Jeeps. My initial plans will be suspension, drive train, wheels/tires, Diamondback tonneau, bed rack, and I have an iKamper X-cover to top it off with. Cheers!
