Thank you for saying that much more succinctly than I did in my previous post.i have the manual and find the pedal doesn't match my brain entirely, laggy response, or delay, not as direct and immediate application of revs when i want them or don't want them...i want snappier revs matching my fast freddy pedal work, will this gizmo help with that? could care less about cruise control issues, with manual the cruise control is still a pretty manual affair anyway
It would still get rid of the input lag so yes it would work. Also today we are testing eco mode and we are getting 16MPG our normal is 12 so we super happyMaybe this is an ignorant question, but would this make any difference on a a manual transmission JT?
Noting , warranty is fine if you are worried then just disconnect it when it goes in for service. SimpleWhat does it do to the warranty?
the more I look the more interested i am actually.Cool video. Not my cup if tea but I enjoy how y’all present your findings.
I’m definitely interested.. I’ve been thinking of pulling the trigger for some time now. My brain is logically torn... one side thinks it’s altering something that is also introducing more fuel, so you’d see a good decrease (all other things being equal), the other part my head thinks if it’s not searching for gears, and you get it quickly into that sweet spot for MPG and try to coast it, it could potential INCREASE MPG.wold of a difference...... no more searching for gears, its really nice now.
sorry about that... it also seems on Eco mode, we also get better MPG... Normal for us is 12.3ish, now E0 mode, 16.5 50 mile trip, really happy with it.the more I look the more interested i am actually.
just when I thought I was done spending money
We just got done messing around with it, We did a drive we normally do, we get 12.7ish mpg, but in E0 same drive we got 16.5mpg on e0, so it seems its better, and on the way back we bought a boat today, we got 5mpg lol.... ouch....I’m definitely interested.. No, I didn’t buy the Jeep for good MPG. When I’m out having fun, I’ve seen 12-13 MPG and I’m totally ok with that. However, when I’m driving to work or other commute type scenarios, I purposely try to maximize MPG. While I can only go so slow, I’ve noticed through lots of various tests, that if you are in the right gear and that 45-65 mph range... this thing does surprisingly well. I can get 18 mpg on my 140 mile round trip commute, NO PROBLEM. Yes, there are variables that others might run into, but strictly for my case... It’s surprisingly pretty decent for a jeep... and I’ve got 37s, Mopar lift, and 4.10 gears.
You mentioned getting good MPG while in ECO mode and in your video you said ECO felt pretty much like stock, did you bump it up a bit to help with acceleration, like a higher ECO setting?
And how does it drive on E0 compared to prior install? We just got done messing around with it, We did a drive we normally do, we get 12.7ish mpg, but in E0 same drive we got 16.5mpg on e0, so it seems its better, and on the way back we bought a boat today, we got 5mpg lol.... ouch....
better , it’s hard to explain , only was to describe is less input lag, E0 did the trick on better MPG for us. We didn’t but the Jeep for its amazing gas milage but it’s nice to see if we on a long road trip we can squeeze some better MPG out. It’s way better then stock. And for the boat it’s a 1994 we will see how much money we dump into it lol.And how does it drive on E0 compared to prior install?
congrats on the boat!!
yes, i decided to go iDrive because I sent a few test messages to the company and they responded really fast with good customer service so i gave them my biz... I assume they all the same, just different brands....I don't want to highjack this thread but did you (@Wizzard005) or anyone else compare the IDrive to other throttle controllers?
