I've watched a Reddit forum dedicated to car sales for years. They talk openly about the business and the good and bad customers. I've also been in sales all my life, and I'm my company's only sales person right now. I think I have a little experience. I just honestly said that I was seeking 3-4 final bids and would pick one, period, no second chances. If that was stupid, well, I saved time and didn't sit in a small office fighting for six hours like the last one.

Cowboy seems like hed be a real douche to interact with. Im sure the dealers were stoked to have your business.

Also, the fees scale with the cost of the product, thats why movie ticket convenience fees are 2 bucks, airlines 20 bucks and cars 400+ bucks.
Pretty bad when you have to resort to calling people names. So you and Swamp Nut can pay $1000 or more than I will when you buy your next Jeep because you trust the dealer is going to give you his best deal when you ask for it. He says time is money, my extra hour of time saves me $1000 or more, I'm sure that $1000 could mean alot to many people on here concerned about getting the best deal.

As for convenience fees, they've become popular in the retail field because business has you believing that you are really getting something for those fees. I buy my movie tickets online and pay no convenience fees being in the chains movie club and I don't pay any airline convenience fees either because of my rewards status with them. Why should I pay a dealer $499, $799 or more? If they weren't "stoked" to have my business, they would not have accepted my offer and sent me on my way. No, they were more than happy to deal on my terms to make the sale, because they have too many "lay down" customers like you that accept what they tell you.

LOL.

Yesterday they called me a little upset that I refinanced already. They said the only money left in the deal was in the points, and asked why I didn't give them a second chance at the financing. They had me at 5, and I moved it to 2.6. I let them have the 5 knowing I could do better later, after getting the best price on the car itself.

Screw em, they should have come with a better interest rate. 5% is ridiculous!

Exactly, they blew their wad on coming up with an LE at $10k under MSRP, and I asked if that's the best they could do for 721+ credit. Ok, cool, I got this.

MSRP was just over $39K.

lease-snip.webp

$34549.88 - $2000 Jeep Rebate = $32549.88 / $39000 = 17%

I also leased it at an amazing 76% RV over 36 months.
Where did you order yours from? I am looking at ordering a gobi max tow.

Rothrock Jeep in Allentown, PA -- I found a Sport in local inventory (no max tow).
