Looks great. So when opening up all the doors, does it seem to have a lot of room? I know the bed is small but also shallow, this has got to give so much more storage area. Also, the bolt holes in the top that are supposedly capped, how many are there? I’m trying to get a idea how I’m going to make a roof rack for it to also hold a roof tent.

@FR33DOM it looks great!

A few questions:

How do you feel about it?
How are the clamps that attach?
If you could measure the opening height (top of open tailgate to bottom of opening)?

Much more room--more than I expected!

There are 6 total holes. There are plastic plugs that you can push out. Not sure the size of bolt yet as I don't plan on messing with them for a while.

Lee at Altitude Industries had several ideas on how to install different racks inside or out. I will probably do some kind of frame inside to hang molle panels but no idea yet how.

Had to pressure wash it before I'd take any more pix for you all. Hope this is helpful!

She looks great! Now all you need is a few hoses and a couple ladders! Really though, nice rig. You'll find the canopy is very functional. Definitely follows the lines of the truck better than Gen 1. Can't wait to get mine. Be Safe.

At first it is a shock with different look but I really like it the more I put stuff in it and see the versatility for hauling more gear.

The rear clamps we tossed and used different t nuts and L brackets. I think the holes didn't line up well but I like how mine installed better anyway.

Tough to measure exact clearances. From the highest hump in tailgate to opening it is right at 35". If you remove the tailgate you get 36" at the lowest point in the bed. More like 35.5" on the top of the bed ridges. Inside the bed top of the bed ridge to ceiling is just over 40".

@FR33DOM nothing wrong with using unistrut parts for it! That won’t go anywhere!

So basically 35” at the opening... good to hear!

Correct—35” but you may get something bigger in depending on the shape and angle you can apply.

Looks good! Anything about it you would change so far? Anything better than you expected?

I personally would do without the windows. Not sure they add much value to the function but maybe some light and / or air.

Overall it is built heavy duty (a good thing). Some minor fitment issues in the front that can be overcome by bending some flanges 1/4 inch or so.

I also had some weatherstripping along the front edge of the bed from my hard tonneau cover which was an advantage to making a good deal. Others may need to add something there. It could be ok without as there is a heavy rubber seal on the bottom of the canopy all the way around.

Too soon to say what I’d change. Overall I think it is nearly what I expected and the function will overcome any flaws I find along the way.

Did you have to drill the JT at all or were you able to use the holes in canopy and the rails?

All in all it appears very stout, which is what I was hoping for.

Thx, I definitely like the fact that you have 6 bolt holes. They are not threaded?
