Hooked the Gladiator up via Blue Ox 10,000 # tow bar. Using SMI DEMCO Stay N Play Duo braking system and Hopkins Diode wiring kit. All worked well after it was properly adjusted.

BTW since posting this I found out the SMI DUO braking unit does not supply power from the 7 pin connector on the RV to charge the battery. I modified the 6 pin side (black wire) by splicing a wire and routed directly to the positive post of the battery.

I went back again... I found a bill directly from Hopkins with P/ N 56210 on it. Don’t get confused by the Curt number.
Thank you for the Hopkins part #. I currently flat tow a 2016 JK using a Hopkins harness. Works flawlessly. Plans are back in the works to get my Gladiator. I use a 10,000# Blue Ox tow bar. Are you using a Blue Ox base plate?

I contacted Hopkins, they said Hopkins #56210 is not available at this time. That Curt part is not for the Gladiator.

I just received an email from rvupgradestore saying the Hopkins kit is unavailable due to covid shutdown. I like the cool tech kit with the switch, but still uneasy cutting into the new Jeep's wiring. For now, I'll make a couple small thin steel plates that will mount on my rear trail rail and stick on my old TJ magnet lights. Temporary assignment!

Did you ever get the Hopkins wiring kit?

Cool, glad it worked out but honestly the Gladiator looks a bit silly back there. Wondering why you didn't get a camper that you could've towed with the JT, isn't that the perk of having one, that u can pull up to 7600#?
