First flat tow, TPMS unavailable

We flat towed from East Tennessee to Blythe Island GA today which was the first time flat towing the Gladiator. When we got here, it said “TPMS not available”. Unhooked set up coach and drove to store and it’s working. Is this common? I seem to remember seeing something about “waking up” while flat towing. Does this happen when brake lights or taillights work? I’m using the Blue Ox EZ light wiring kit which is supposed to be plug and play with resistors built in.

I installed a RoadMaster light kit in our Gladiator. We just returned today from a trip across the state. Our Gladiator went thru the same TPMS issue at both ends of the trip. Driving about 20 MPH or higher reset all the sensors.

I also got a weird issue when we got home, and I disconnected the aux braking system from the Jeep (RoadMaster Evenbrake). When I went to start the Jeep, it gave me a Diesel heating warning, and wouldn't start for a minute. Afterwards, it was fine.

Too much smarts on the new vehicles. We've towed my wife's 2006 Wrangler Unlimited for years, never had any issues.

Thanks for the reply. Didn’t have the issue when we got home. Unfortunately we’re winterized and waiting on spring before another trip.

We're shopping for a Class A motorhome and look forward to flat towing our '21 Gladiator Overland in the same configuration as the original poster.
I see you are using the Blue Ox EZ light wiring kit . Which hitch are you using to hookup your Gladiator to your motorhome?

Ready Brute Elite 2. I also put a Rock Hard bumper on the front since they are one of the few rated to attach the tow bar to. We've towed an 07 Hummer H3, 12 Ram 1500 and now the Gladiator using it and I really like it.
