I tried really hard on this forum to get enough information to make an informed decision about which system to purchase without much interest. I decided on Blue Ox due to my previous experience with them. If I had all that information now I may have done things differently (I.E. different bumper altogether). I opted for the Demco Stay N Play braking system, I have not installed yet. I am still fighting to get the best solution for wiring.

I know this is kinda old, but...
Check out the Maximus-3 JL tow loops. They bolt directly on the front of the frame (no base plate needed) and your towbar hooks to them with the appropriate adapters. The stock bumper (plastic or steel) requires some small modification, but nothing that would preclude the installation of a winch.
They do sit a little lower than a base plate or your typical bumper mounts, so you may need a drop hitch adapter.
