I noticed when the tips are removed from the Rubicon steel bumper that the wiring and fog light housing are fully exposed and subject to damage on the trail. The easy fix I found is to use some aluminum sheet metal to make a full cover for that area. Taking a piece of cardboard or thick paper form a template and transfer the dimensions of the opening to some sheet aluminum and cut to fit. Be sure to alodine the surface to be painted to make sure the paint stays. Raw aluminum doesn't hold paint well. Using the existing two bolts on each side. Note: be sure to cut a relief in the panel for the right side to allow for clearance of the fog light harness.
