I don’t know how I didn’t know this, but there is a Mopar steel rear bumper?

yes and sorry i should call by its name "The rubicon rear steel bumper" AKA "The high clearance steel bumper". Its a borring but effective mostly steel bumper. Not as heavy as i envison to be honest, Install was much easier then then front steel bumper in my case.

So it is just a bolt on replacement or are other parts required? I am definitely doing this to my Mojave…

If you have the tow hicth you will need two nutserts/rivets installed if you want to add the extra strenght. I compleated the nutserts last night while i installed (murdered) my steel skid plate. Got mines from bam wholesale for little over $700 with the non sensors. Let me know if you have any other questions

You know something they do look similar in some ways to be honest especially in the top corner step areas however they are less bulky. The steel is nice and sturdy with the rear clearance as well. I will add the bed sliders rock rails soon either from mopar or red rock. Look into it when you. One note on install, if you have the factory halogens you will need to harvest your harness from old bumper or buy a new one. Same for the front steel bumper.

I have LED lights in the front. I am not sure about the back. I do have the sensors in the bumper, so I guess I will have to get the right bumper for those.
I already have the front steal bumper. I plan on getting it powder coated. That is the reason I would get a rear steal on as well. I am get a very sluggish texture powder coat on my rims, so I am going to do the front bumper to match. Having a matching back bump would be awesome.
Now I have another project….

Let me know what powder coat your using please. I will buy some AEV texture touch paint as well. Rubitrix has the bumpers with sensors for $800 with free shipping i believe as well.

I will post a picture of my rims when they come back in a couple weeks. That way you can see the texture. It is close to the texture of most aftermarket parts for our jeep.
can’t wait to do the front bumper. I just have to figure out if it can be done with the end caps bolted on. I am going to start a post on it.

Copy that and most def intrested in seeing that. I am thinking of buying a hardtop and get it line-x or something.

I would love to see those pictures when you start the tread. I never understood the whole line-x adding wieght to truck. Ive heard and seen some factory builds with less over payload just because bed line. Is it becuase it is a very dense application ? I want to do undercoating as well. A Line-X store owner here in LI,NY said he would give me good deal on both using the premuin mil-spec.

Talon is finally coming along! Just added some more Tyger gear—the roll bar and the Star Armor side steps. I forgot just how heavy those steps are; I definitely felt the weight during the install! Had some great help from my son, too. He loves Jeeps!
I’m noticing the factory rake more than ever now, likely due to the extra weight up front from the armor. I actually dig the look—it gives the truck some personality and keeps it functional for towing. That said, I’m speeding up my suspension plans. I’m leaning toward the classic combo: 1" or 1.5" TeraFlex spacers up front and a .75" in the rear, topped off with Blue SumoSprings all around to help handle the load.
I’m also rethinking my tire choice. My initial plan was General Grabbers, but I'm looking at the new Bridgestone Dueler Ascent tires now. Has anyone run these yet? Thinking a 32 or 33 would fit this build perfectly. Any feedback on how they handle compared to the Grabbers?

Thanks for the links. I want to put ligts but not sure what style yet, looking for low profile. Lighting will be next phase. Yes the soft top opens and should be fully operational. If you installed a higher profile light rake then you prob will need an offset mount or something. Love the look and i know its not everyone flavor but i am digging it.
