My JT is my first Jeep, so I'm wondering how much noise difference is there with hard tops once winter hits. I have the 3 piece hard top and had a good layer of frost on the roof. When I got to highway speeds, I heard a lot more wind noise than I did the previous morning, but weather wind speeds were actually lower than earlier in the week?

Does the cold really affect the hard tops that much?

It definitely sounds like they shrunk in the cold.
Make sure your Jeep has a male name. haha
The ice itself if not cleared can make some crazy noise, but I would seriously think that things shrunk and left gaps. Did you notice any drafts?

I did notice a draft, but this was the first time I wore just a t-shirt in the JT since it got colder. Going to double check the bolts my oldest kid did when we put the top back on a couple of weeks ago.

Cold air is denser. Thus more noise.
