Hey All, I know this topic has been often discussed but I wanted to get some answers in one place.

1) Will Mopar 2" with 37s (like a Cooper AT3) have full flex? I like to sometimes hit the local OHV park and it was plenty clear that JT breakover angle sucks.

2) Will either lift require me to have any other mods like sway bar extensions, front driveshaft, etc?

3) Does either lift installed myself or at a local shop retain warranty?

4) Is Clayton ride quality considerably better than Mopar?

Clayton period much better lift than mopar hands down.
2.5 is actually more than 3”
No rubbing.
Everything you need comes in the kit.
Mopar kit to my knowledge is not covered by warranty even if the dealer installs.
Dealer has to prove your lift caused whatever issue you are trying to get covered. Again that’s just my understanding may be incorrect.
Anyway the Clayton kit is solid I’ve installed both and the Clayton one is built much stronger and the quality is so much better.

I bought my Jeep at the dealer, the mopar lift at the dealer and had the dealer do the install.

My salesman, service advisor and the service manager all told me everything they did is under warranty and will be covered unless I cause the damage, like bashing and bending something, then I have to pay for it.

Maybe some dealers won't warranty it even if they install it?

There are some of us have not had great results in the aftermarket product world.

Wasn't there a post yesterday where a guy has 3000 miles and a Clayton lift and is now experiencing death wobble? Im sure people have also had death wobble with the Mopar too.

My Mopar lift has been great so far, comfortable ride, 2 - 2 1/2 inches of lift on my Rubicon, and Im covered under warranty... cant beat that and couldn't be happier!

I love my Clayton 2.5” overland plus. It’s actually over 3” and took a little of the rake out. Matched with Falcon shocks and the ride is fantastic. No regrets at all.

Most of the time death wobble is caused by a nut or bolt that has loosened or possibly was not as tight as it needed to be in the first place. This is why many tend to experience death wobble issues after any type of work is performed underneath the vehicle, as not tightening things back up properly will usually lead to potential death wobble issues! In the case of this particular customer, he made a few simple adjustments and the death wobble issue was resolved :)

For the 2.5" overland plus, will it require any cutting or drilling to put the sway bar extension or adjustable track bar, etc?
Do you also provide all the torque specs?
I am thinking of doing it on my own so that way I will know exactly what is needed.

Both of these kits are super easy to do yourself I wouldn’t pay someone to do this for me it’s really simple. You will need to cut the links, took about 30 seconds with a cutoff tool but you could do it by hand, super easy.
Track bars both just bolt on no issues.
All the instructions are on the website and yes they include torque specs. Like I said I’ve installed both kits, Clayton is better built period.

As an FYI I spoke to my service manager at Poway Jeep and he stated that the Mopar kit has its own 2 year warranty if it’s purchased at a dealership or an authorized retailer but it’s not covered by the car’s warranty they are separate from each other.

Thanks! Don't have a cutting tool. So I may have to first sort that out :(

IMO for the use you outlined I would go Mopar, it is complete easy to install kit, there is no need to lift higher than 2”, also going higher than 2” and replacing all the control arms with adjustable arms will only add more complexity and potential for DW and other other driveline issues such as driveshaft angles and having the replace the track bar to compensate for axle shift. If you do have any issues down the road and need warranty support you will have a much easier time with the Mopar lift than any other regardless of who installs it.

I think axle shift will happen even with mopar kit. It is not a complete kit I think because it doesn't include adjustments for track bar due to the lift. I could be wrong but it seems I will need a little more than the kit has to complete it.

Can this kit support the existing Rubicon shocks or do I really need to upgrade?

The amount of axle shift is very minor with 2” of lift with the Mopar kit, IMO the kit is not incomplete it is just not an issue so Mopar does not include the part to correct it. A lot of the people who put a track bar on with the Mopar kit are also putting on a spacer on top of the front coils to make the JT level causing the axle shift to be more pronounced.
