First, the shop has called Clayton and I'm talking to James with Clayton on this forum. I thought I'd see if anyone has experienced this or if anyone has any feedback. I swapped the 2" Mopar lift for the Clayton 2.5" Overland Diesel lift (plus control arms, stabilizer, RPM Steering). These measurements were done on both lifts with the RTT and canopy installed (300#). The fender well measurement on the front went up 1.5" (expected) but the rear went down 1/2" inch. Many posts on this lift complain that the front is too low and they add a spacer. I have the opposite problem. I had a nice positive rake with the Mopar lift. Now it squats.

The first comment from the shop and Clayton suggested the HD springs. But that's missing the point. There is only a 300# load AND the Mopar lift had a positive rake. Just for grins, I removed the RTT and the measurement did not change. All four springs are the correct stock numbers. Thoughts?

It definitely looks low in the back.
Have the part numbers been confirmed for what you ordered vs received?
If they are the correct parts, I would look at the rear springs from the 3.5" kit.

Something doesn't look right. I had a normal rake even before I put my winch and bumpers on.

I have a 2.5" Clayton on a gasser/non-Rubi and it doesn't sit low in the back at all. I would also guess it's taller than a Mopar lift in the rear, but I haven't actually measured or parked next to one.

Just a thought, did you loosen and retorque all the rear control arms. Maybe the bushings are bound down.

My 2.5” overland plus kit on my gasser has a rake, even when loaded down. almost seems they gave you the wrong rear springs.

So far I agree with the comments. It "should" have a positive rake. The Mopar lift is a true 2" and the Clayton 2.5 is really 3 - 3.5". The front height increased an expected 1.5" but the rear went down. The springs are the correct ones. I'm going to the shop on Monday to check it out. They need to detach the links and control arms to see if there is a bind somewhere.

The shop replaced the standard Clayton overland springs with the HD version (I think 700# rated). Without a load, it's still down a little in the rear. Fully loaded, it definitely squats. Not happy with the Clayton rear coils. I would LOVE to install the Dobinson's 3", 880-1210 rear coils, but they are a special order, 3 months to delivery and I'm leaving in three weeks for a trip to Utah. Trying to figure out what other options I have.

-Add a 1" spacer to the existing Clayton rear coil, but not sure this would bring it up to level when loaded.
-The Dobinson's 2", 880-1210 coils are in stock, but I would have to add a 1" spacer (if that's available). This is a higher rated coil than Clayton so hopefully would handle the weight better.

Any suggestions on a good overland rear spring with about 3" lift that will handle an 800-1200 pound load?

Are you replacing the mopar springs for more lift? You can reinstall the mopar springs wiyh spacers.

I was going to recommend the Teraflex 3.5” springs, but even in their description it’s kind of vague. It says they will lift 2.5-4 inches. Hard to justify buying those at risk of ending up at 2.5 inches.
