Hey all,
Hope this is the correct place to ask. I am interested in getting a 2-2,5" lift for my 2021 Overland and need help with getting the correct kit for under $1000. MY JT came with the upgraded AT tires, not what I want to keep but they will do until I can get the money to get 35s. I don't want to go bigger than that.

If anyone can help steer me in the right direction, that would be great. I love in Augusta, GA, so I can't go to any places on the west coast, Rockies, etc.

I've watched a lot of videos about installing the kits and I'm worried about a couple of things. First, I must maintain all my factory warranties, including drive train. Second, I want to make sure my truck doesn't crab walk due to the ankle being off.

I'm open to all the advice you can give. This is my truck today.

Angle, not ankle. And while I do love Augusta, I meant that I live in Augusta. Thanks.

Do you plan to spend time off road on a regular basis? 35s are surprisingly easy to fit if you won’t be flexing on a regular basis. Many people have done it here with just a Rubicon spring upgrade and front / rear spacers. It’s a very modest lift, cost about half your budget for parts,

I would stick with spacer options. AEV is a solid choice, daystar makes good pucks but crappy bushings. Teraflex 1.5 front and daystar 3/4 rear are you best options, for about $150. Save rest for shock upgrades. For 550 you can order a set of Fox 2.0 0-1.5 lift. Great set up that I am running now.

Sandy's 4x4 in downtown Augusta is a high quality shop. They have the capability to do any kind of work on 4x4s. The worst thing about letting them do your lift is they are always very busy. Nothing happens in one day.

The OP has $1000 budget which rules it out, even through you can probably find it for around 1250.
That’s before installation, though. Got to leave room for that. Even most people doing it themselves probably won’t have all the tools they need.

Thanks. I will call them. Are they good with prices, and do they offer expert advice that is what's best for me or will they just try to make money?

Sandy runs the front desk and is who you will probably talk to. He was a motorcycle racer, drag racer, and mud bog racer. By that I mean he drove and ran large successful teams. He is an expert on things mechanical. I don't know if he has had any work on the Gladiators. If it was me, I would know what I want, and ask him about helping me get there. You seem to be aimed at a 2" spacer lift. That is not complicated. He can get your parts for you, or he will install your parts. His charges have always been reasonable for me. Again, the problem is that he is always busy. The right thing if you want him to do the work is to do is get on his list, then drop ofrf your truck when it's your turn.

If Sandy's doesn't work for you, I have a friend, Cole, who lives just out of Graniteville, SC, who runs a 4x4 fab shop. He was repairing a rear end in a Gladiator when I was there last week, so I know he does more than just fab work. He has a Facebook business page:

While we are on the subject, would someone be willing to tell me why people are so willing to lift their JTs higher than allowed by Jeep; thereby canceling their warranties?

It's called "living large". Some people always stay in their box. Other venture out to explore the outer limits. There is room for everybody. Even you.
