I bought my Gladiator back in Q4 2020 and promised myself I'd go slow with mods. It took all the way up until Q1 of 2023 to finally be where I think I'm done.
I put a set of Mojave take-offs on first thing when I got it, and didn't replace them until they'd worn out. I rode around on a lift...
Terrible approach. You’ve got no business trying something like that if you don’t know where your tires are. Most other angles would have gotten the through with no issue.
Yeah, I thought to myself on more than one occasion… I know I’ll get to the other side, but how’s its going to drive when I get there and will something shake loose? Well I hopped off that trail and hit the highway for a 7 hour drive. Everything is great.
Again, I can’t expect to glide over a...
We just wrapped up a 3 night stay in BBNP in a back country campsite along Old Ore Road. Never made it to Black Gap. There just wasn’t enough time. Maybe next time.
But Old Ore Road is out of the way enough that we blu saw 2 vehicles pass during our 3 days, and one of them was a ranger making...
I know RC has a certain reputation, but…
I just finished 3 nights in Big Bend NP, camping in a back country site 10 miles from pavement. The road out there wasn’t terribly technical, but it was very bumpy - bumpy enough that my time to the site took 1.5 hours.
By day 3 I was just sending it...
I’m aware of 3 JTs in my neighborhood - about 1 sq mi. But I honestly don’t see many here on the north side of Dallas. Full size trucks are the norm.
When I bought my JT, the salesman told me I could take off the front panels, but not the whole top. I just let him keep thinking that, but come on man! You’ve got ad sheets and posters with topless JTs inside the office!
That's my neck of the woods. Saw it on local news. The local Jeep club (North Texas Jeep Club) is MASSIVE and they usually turn out for bad weather days like these. During the big snow a couple years ago, they were offering rides to work for first responders and ER staff. If I didn't have work...
I can’t even call it a knock off. That would suggest it was recreated to look like the original. This bumper effectively is the original. Just went out one door instead of another.
Kind of like how my Taurus PT92AF is effectively a Beretta 92FS (except the Taurus is way more on the up and up...
If the clone is from China, it’s likely because it was stamped from the same dies used for OEM - just fell off the truck on the way to powder coating and boxing.
I have this bumper. It’s virtually indistinguishable from OEM, but it’s based on foreign models so it’s got sensor holes that US bumpers don’t have. Otherwise it’s probably from the same mold or press or whatever.
Yes, the finish is straight up garbage and I’ll probably refinish it someday when...
