DV8 high clearance rear bumper

I called 4 wheels parts this morning and they told me when I order the DV8 bumper.i should have it in 3 -4 days. Adam, the manager at the one in Charlotte told me to call him when I'm ready to order and he may be able to do me a better price on both of them. I'll update once I place the order. Probably ride to the store and pickup the front bumper since it's only 25 minutes from the house. If I play my cards right and knowing Adam, I may get a free install out of it.as well.

Weird... the 4wheel parts here is closed on mondays. That might just be for the whole covid thing though.. I ordered a Winch last night they have in stock & wanted to go pick it up after work today while im in town, but will instead have to make a special trip for it later this week.

It maybe closed, I know Adam pretty good, we have wheeled together a few times and we did charity stuff a few years back together. I called him on his personal phone. I normally order online from them but figured after @Digger70 mentioned the delay in processing I'd call him and see what the deal was. Could be a online processing thing. I'm just going to call him and order my stuff.

For reference I in the above posts I should have said Adam not Ryan, I had extreme terrain on the mind for some reason.

Ahhhh so you got the "in".. Mine is just an in stock common winch so I dont think there will be a problem getting it this week. The bumper for it wont be here till wendesday anway if amazon is as fast as they say (paid 4 dollars more on amazon for the RR HD stubby bumper then 4wp, just because I wanted to see if they actually shipped that big ass thing that fast).

I'm interested as well to see how fast Amazon ships it out. They have been pretty delayed as of late. I have been getting faster shipping out of third party vendors than I have out of Amazon. My prime membership hasn't been paying off lately. Hopefully with restrictions being lifted they get back to the 2 day delivery. I miss that

Yeah I ordered it late last night & it said Wednesday. I have to admit though Friday night I ordered my daughter a new bed & it was delivered at 630am today. Maybe amazon realized people want there shit fast or we will buy elsewhere.

Yeah, that makes sense. I bet they have lost a few sales over it. I was going to order my front led light bulbs for the turn signals from them back about 3 weeks ago but they had a May 8th delivery date on them. I went ahead and paid $4 more for them at advance. I hate waiting on stuff. I'll pay extra to get something quicker.

I 100% agree... I stopped buying local not because I was worried about cost, but instead because of a lack of selection. When I can get what I want local I still do it.

Cool. Just got home from work and checked my email and got one from 4wd.com. They said my Iron Cross bumper will ship direct from the manufacturer.

I couldn't find it on Amazon. I asked at a few other places selling it late yesterday, still waiting on a response back. Looks like just front bumper and winch for me for right now until the DV8 becomes available. I'm not spending my money and playing the waiting game but I'm also not going to settle for something I don't want like I did on my JK. I'll wait it out and if something better becomes available I will get it or get the DV8 when it becomes available. Sucks but I'm really more concerned about the front bumper and winch right now.

I just installed the DV8 high clearance rear with the parking sensors. The parking sensors are a real pain in the ass. There are no real gotchas with this bumper other than the license plate lights. You’ll need to cut the factory connector and splice the wires together to the the DV8 provided lights.

I've got mine installed now, got it a few months back and love it. I don't have parking sensors so I can't comment on that.

I dont know, after watching a video from JL Life and seeing how poor his bumper was made, I am very hesitant on DV8 bumpers and warranty support.

I had a DV8 rear bumper on my JKU and never had any issues. Over 5yrs and it never showed rust and i used the D rings in the rear numerous times for pulling points. I never had to deal any warranty issues but I will say I called DV8 and asked about when the bumper would come in stock and they told me the date and gave me 10% off and free shipping which made it about $45 cheaper than everyone else was selling it for at the time. I didn't watch the video but I don't put a lot faith in online videos. If I buy something and it works then I'll probably buy from the company again. All I can say is I have the rear bumper installed on mine and it was a real easy install, less than a hour, and it feels pretty stout. I'm pleased with it.
