I still want a Jeep Badge of honor for driving topless and doorless in a hail storm. @JeepCares make this happen.

I should really get a soft top! At a minumum I should check the weather before picking up pizza with the roof off!

This is why we went with a soft top on the JT. Had a hard top on our JL, which was nice, but it had two major cons for me. First, I couldn’t take it off by myself. Second, we live in southwest Florida, and you can have a pop up storm just about anytime, which makes its extremely hard to ever have the top off on the road all day since you can’t take it with you. We love our soft top on the JT.

The hard top on the JT is a one person R&R, very unlike my YJ.

I figured since it’s not as long. Do you get in the bed to remove it?

... gotta adjust my bed rack. That could be a pain in the ass. Need to find time to install the winch after that. Hope the ATP winch plate fits well... Gotta pick a new set of rock sliders... CBI sliders looks pretty good...

Yes, I use a stepladder, up in the bed, reach through the sliding window with one hand, place carefully to the rear of the bed. Drop down off bed, pick up again and prop carefully in garage.

The materials science is way better these days, strong and light is GREAT!
