Yeah I ordered last Monday, had a VIN the following morning, and today Jeep Chat said all parts are.sourced and it's moved into build. I was really expecting several months wait but now it's looking more like the window they told me (5-8 weeks). I'm now kinda scrambling, because I was going to sell off some underperforming stocks and gather up some funds from a few other sources but I really kinda thought I'd have a few weeks to do that. Not a bad problem to have!

Not at all. I want to pull the trigger today and am optimistic about getting it before December rolls around.

I'd do it asap. They're closing the '21 order banks within the next couple of days. Supposedly '22 opens 3 Sep but production on '22s doesn't start until November?

Haven't read everyones replies, so sorry if this has been stated before.
If you have the money, even if it's tied up in other assets, taking advantage of 0% interest is a good financial decision because of inflation (or deflation of the dollar). I've done this on the last couple vehicles, and even a personal loan that one credit union had where it's 1/2 the % for Black Friday - stuff that money into some asset of some sorts, and you'll come out on top in the end. Basically it's leveraging your assets, which you're somewhat doing in that you're keeping your assets in a place where it's gaining more than the inflation rate. Remember, your last auto payment will be much 'cheaper' than todays auto payment. I suspect you haven't finalized your financing yet, so if you think about it, don't put any cash down, sell your trade-in so you can get cash, and put all that into something that will make money for you (mutual funds, land, etc..).

So no need to be concerned, you're just leveraging your assets, not taking a loan out ;)

I tried pretty hard yesterday. Kent seemed to be busy. Hopefully today!

This thread speaks to me, @Darel. I am very excited to order a new Jeep soon here, but also kinda queasy about spending all that money. I do have it, and I am saving more for it each month than my payment will be. But woooof. I paid cash for my last car more than a decade ago. This one might hurt.
I just ordered my Rubican Gladiator yesterday!! I'm excited and hope everything moves quickly. Was informed by the dealership that they will keep me posted of the process every step of the way. Drove one as a rental in Chicago and loved it. Told my husband of my change of make and model of what I would like to have and his nest day off we went looking. I am blessed!!

Thanks, I’m out here trying and hustling.

Lol, the X is in decent shape I think, just hit that 10 year / 100,000 threshold where you either maintain or move on. I posted for $15,000 yesterday and have four people lined up to see it. Bumpers are expensive as heck for any platform other than Jeep, I have front and rear, a customly fabbed roof rack by yours truly and so much other cash in it on cool things like lift, wheels, tires, etc. Even with IFS, on wheeling and hunting trips I’ve always run out of ball sack before vehicle ability.

I’ve just always wanted a Jeep!

As far as mortgage goes my credit union does 5% conventional and no PMI. Sounds fantastic to me.
Your solid then. I got my first house on a loan like that. 4 years and had no real equity based on the purchase price, but walked away with a nice check from that due to the sweat equity I had put into it.

I have been looking for pics of a Sarge with gold or bronze wheels! Love it. I really actually love the style of the stock Rubi wheels (kinda like Lotus "wobbly web" or Halibrands from the '60s) but the whole black wheel thing is so played out. Thought about painting / dipping / powdercoating the stock wheels bronze. Yours look great!
love mine!!!!

Where do you go to the jeep chat info. I'm new to the forum and just ordered on 8/23/21 and was told 8 - 14 weeks. Had a VIN in 2 days but not showing anything but one door???
