Also, in FL, the sun and heat get brutal, especially with the humidity. Soft top is nice due to easier opening up front if wanna catch rays for a Lil bit, then easily close once ur a tomato. Hard top gotta stop, remove, store, stop, pull out, replace, continue. Doesn't take all terribly long but, we humans are lazy ass animals.

I, personally, and like many others, am disgusted by the factory soft top. Don't like the way it humps to the rear, and when fully open don't like the man bun profile. I would be just fine being able to open the front half and removing the rear panel and all doors. This would still provide protection while being mostly free.

Also, the front portion on this top when folded back lays flat, not catching air or causing drag. And doesn't hump to the back.. A much better and cleaner design overall, IMO.

If the cost is too much, then I'll just stick to the hard top with sunrider front piece and be done.

What’s the point of a soft too that doesn’t fold all the way back? Am I missing something here?

Ill keep my premium soft top
this is for people that want a summer top and don’t want to spend 1500-2k on a factory soft top. The rampage trail view for the jk is 600. That includes windshield header and door surrounds. This one will likely be similarly priced.

plus, the whole top itself comes off and rolls up in like 30 seconds.

The no back windows is very attractive to me, I'm jealous of the JL's in town rolling that way. I'd dispense with my JTops mesh if the rear is covered and the top opens that quickly. Gotta love the Jeep aftermarket!

I drove 8 hours one way from WV to point lookout MD with that top, no doors and no back windows for a week.

it ruled. Good memories.

I had the same top for my 2016 Wrangler.

Postives:
1. Looks great
2. Super simple fold back
3. Great protection from rain
4. Price

Cons:
1. Pools water
2. Frameless softtops are LOUD. Order of noise from queitest to loudest
A. Hardtop
B. Premium Soft Top
C. Regualr factory softop
D. Topless
E: Topless/Doorless
E: Airport runway
F: Frameless softtop

SLightly kidding as it isn't too bad unless you have it fully closed and roll a window down. Those supports are there for a reason.

Can you explain this more please?
It is my belief, that the reason there are no aftermarket tops for the JT, is due to an exclusive contract with bestop for the model. I think there are a slew of companies just waiting to release theirs when the contract ends.

This is what I think the rep meant when he said “many things.”

What's stopping them from doing it on their own, without Chrysler support? All they need is a Gladiator and time. Unless there's a patent at play.

I don’t see how that can have an impact bestop and rampage are different companies
I agree. Rampage needs nothing from FCA to make their own top. You can't patent a vehicle roof. What's stopping companies from releasing new products is that gladiators are not hugely popular like the wrangler and also that thing where those poor people in that one communist country aren't shipping us our goods like they used to.

This right here. You can't prevent companies from making aftermarket products for a particular vehicle.
