Each Passenger gets a playlist! Straps to secure anything stored in the bed.

Also-check the tire pressure-I noticed mine were overinflated at delivery.
This, for sure. Both my wife's JLU and my JT came with tires way overinflated. The driving characteristics are "squirrelly" with overinflated tires. You'll enjoy the trip much more starting out with appropriate tire pressure levels.

Edit:. Also, with an 11 hour trip, at that first Walmart stop, grab some window cleaner and apply RainX before the big drive. Definitely helps clean the bugs off on the way home.

Teenager and pre-teen, twists and elevation changes

Dramanine and barf bags...unless you really want to get rid of the new Jeep smell

See ya around BR!
Nice another BR resident! I'll be in a Gecko Gladiator starting next week.

Don't forget to check the fuses. You might find some of them aren't fully seated.

Noted, was thinking we might pull the panels off if it's nice. Didn't think about sunscreen at all.
Yeah -this is my first "real Jeep". Bought in March. First nice weather with panels outs and my nose and forehead we're nice and red that week. Oops. Been a lot better with the sunshade in but I still put it on often. I keep some in Jeep.

Also I would second the ear plugs. It's no big deal on city driving but I've learned that about an hour of straight highway driving and the wind/other car noise really does start to bother my ears. (more so with no doors or roof than just no roof and windows up).

I know I look weird wearing them but my ears don't hurt after a 45min city highway drive when I get home. It really can be loud in 5 lines of highway traffic. ?‍♂

Do you have a cover on the bed. if not you won't have a lot of storage in the main cab with yourself, two boys and snacks, etc. So gonna have to have a place for extra cloths assuming your not willing to go a couple days in the same outfit. If no cover on bed and you want to store something back there that can't get wet some sort of waterproof bag
Got soft cover over bed. We're only bringing a backpack each so should be plenty of space. I always bring garbage bags when I travel so can toss them in a bag and put them back there if we need to.

This post is exactly why I don’t have any crib midgets.

Jesus man! Don’t put your kids in trash bags! I know I just joked about not having crib midgets of my own but I would never put them in a trash bag! A duffel bag maybe, but a trash bag?

A carabiner to clip the freedom panel bag to the bed tie downs, or as Don says, bungee cords. Some sort of mild cleaner (I use Spray-away glass cleaner for everything), sunglasses, hats for roof off, a Mad-Libs pad and pen, masks-never know where you might stop.
Time to do those silly road-side things!

Make sure the dealer doesn't over-inflate your tires, 36lbs if you have the regular tires. You could order the stubby antenna and make that your first mod. The stock radio antenna is long, obtrusive and annoying
