I live in Florida and will be keeping my new Gladiator in my driveway. There will be lots of shade a good portion of the day, but I want to protect the black fender flares and best I can to keep them looking good. What is the best product that can be used on the fender flares to keep them looking nice and protect them as much as possible? Thanks.

Get a good ceramic coat. If you have it done they will do trims as well

I had my whole truck coated for about 1000 bucks. I have color match fenders but my roof is black and I have black trims. 6 months in and all the plastics look like they are freshly shined. I think the warranty is 7 years from the shop that did it. I’m in ny.

carpro Dlux is a ceramic coating made for plastic trims exactly for your situation. This stuff is great and easy to apply. You just have to make sure you have a clean and oil free surface.

if you want to apply ceramic yourself carpro Has Cquartz UK 3.0 that is excellent ceramic coating for your paint that is very user friendly for the first timer.

Thanks, many seem to think that is the way to go.

this is a video from YouTube that shows this first timer using carpro Dlux. I’m sure there are probably better videos out there covering this stuff but just to give you an idea of how to apply.

Very happy with my ceramic. It’s light years ahead of any wax

This stuff looks brand new a year later. A little shine but not totally “wet” look.
You have to apply to very clean surface or it will lock in any stain. Apply in good lighting as well so you can make sure you don’t streak.

Thanks, that seems to be a popular approach.

I put Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine on my wife's new JL's black plastic fenders. Took about 4 minutes. It has UV protection, too. I've had great luck with it on my 14 year old JK's black fenders. They look pretty good after plenty of sun, road salt, etc. I've also used 303 protectant on them before.

So having used both that & 303,would you recommend the Turtle Wax as superior?
