Maybe someone who's upgraded can hook you up with a used one? Not ideal, but better than nothing.i have just been informed that my jeep is down until at least the middle of March if not a whole lot longer. i talked to Benny at Allmoparparts.com and he told me the parts are not available for at least 30 days. i contacted BAM automotive and they told me the pressure plate and clutch disk (68273845AD) are on Backorder until at least the middle of April. and i checked on the release of the Centerforce clutch and the release date is moved back to the first of March and i expect this to move again to maybe the first of April if not May. this is from Morris 4X4 Center. "Ships between 02/27/2022 - 03/01/2022". i hope i am wrong, but this is not looking good. i am going to check with Centerforce next friday for an update.
that is a good point.Maybe someone who's upgraded can hook you up with a used one? Not ideal, but better than nothing.
South Bend has one too. Unfortunately, not released yet. Maybe you could contact them and see when it'll be out. It's on preorder. Part number KJLW-HD for stage 1, or KJLW-HD-O for stage 2, or KJLW-HD-TZ for stage 3. They even have a drag version (in a jeep?). Unfortunately, looks like a new release, and probably affected by the supply chain issues. But maybe they can at least tell you when they'll come out. All on preorder everywhere I looked.that is a good point.
This stinks. Sorry to hear. I have my stock clutch with 15k miles and in good shape sitting in my garage and would sell it for a reasonable price just to get it out of the way but I’m all the way on the other side of the Country in SE Pennsylvania. It’s something like 50lbs so I’m sure shipping would be pretty expensive. PM me if you wanna look into this.south bend release is not until at least April as well. it is a good thing that i do not need the jeep this summer because i will be out on the motorcycle for the summer on the east coast.
I wonder if the three radially oriented springs on the cover are part of the dual mass mechanism.A look at the weak stock clutch. Reminds me of the clutch I replaced in a Pontiac Sunbird in the 90s. Definitely the weak point in this setup. Still loving the Centerforce dual friction set up !

Interesting. You know Centerforce could use a much lighter pressure plate with these V6s and reduce that pedal force.about 500 miles - stop and go, taking it easy. Mr. Clutch explains it well here
It’s not overly heavy.Interesting. You know Centerforce could use a much lighter pressure plate with these V6s and reduce that pedal force.
So why did yours go out? Was it being slipped alot? I have 22k miles on mine and it seems fine so far. But its concerning if it fails without warning.I have an update on my search for a clutch. after contacting my local jeep dealer, the parts department explained there are 56 backordered clutch assemblies waiting to be filled across the country. there is an supply of 50 clutch assemblies being delivered on or about the 9th of February and another 180 units to be delivered later in the month. i contacted Benny at allmoparparts.com where he said thru email that " 44 backorders, 40 incoming. These are supposed to be filled Feb 2." and the 180 units to be delivered sometime in February. i asked benny if i was to order the clutch assembly on order if that would put a demand on the system and get one of the 180 units. Benny said yes, so i ordered the unit thru Benny and i said " let us cross our fingers and i will order the clutch disk and pressure plate with a possible ship date from you around the 15th of feb." i am going to call Centerforce on Friday to see what the update is for their clutch. but. i looked at the Morris 4X4 Center and the new date for shipping has been moved to between 03/04/2022 - 03/06/2022.
Isn't there two clutch disks in the OEM?A look at the weak stock clutch. Reminds me of the clutch I replaced in a Pontiac Sunbird in the 90s. Definitely the weak point in this setup. Still loving the Centerforce dual friction set up !
