When I was younger and didn’t wear mine at all, I just kept it buckled behind me and just sat on it. After cracking a windshield with my head in a roll into a 4 ft ditch I now where mine.

A simple belt extender....short or long doesn't matter....will completely silence the alarm....and the light.

Yea I hear you. Passenger is my wife 99% of the time though, and I need her to have it on. I'm not raising three crazy kids by myself
That's the good thing about the extender. Once it's plugged in, the belt can be worn or not.....it just shuts off the alarm and light.
