Didn’t see a clear forum thread on how to turn off the seatbelt chime, so thought I’d post this video that surprisingly worked for my Gladiator. I do about 50% of my driving around farm roads at very low speeds hopping in and out to do chores so this was a real annoyance for me. I was pretty skeptical and full expected the method in this video to fail because it seemed too easy to be true. Pleasantly surprised!

The easiest way to disable the seatbelt chime is to plug in your seatbelt. It's so easy and such a rote activity it should be autopilot after even a few years of driving.

Otherwise Tazer or another programmer can do it.

Thanks for the thread. I'll be doing this in about 20 minutes when I leave for the days activities. :like:

Thank you! I too have a small ranch and woods... constantly in and out at low speeds... no need for more noise!

Funny, the seatbelt in my 2005 Subaru was disabled the exact same way.

Do we have to do it for the passenger side as well? My dog is heavy enough that when he rides shotgun it triggers the seatbelt warning chime.

I did it in the driver’s seat and it seems to have affected all of them.
