I know there are a lot of people that object to RC kits, but I've had 3 kits from from them, with ZERO issues. Never once have I had someone tell me they had a bad experience first hand, it's always "...I heard about someone...." or "...a buddy of mine told me...." I currently have the RC 3.5" lift kit with coils and shocks, and it works great for my needs- I'm running 37's too. That being said, I'm not rock crawling; my rig's off-roading adventures are limited to the woods and mud of FL, so it works great for me. If I was doing crazy off-road shit, I'd probably upgrade. In the end, do what suits your needs and budget, but also keep in mind that there is a such thing as overkill.

To answer your questions:
1- yes, that is the kit with N3 shocks
2-I posted the actual height in another earlier thread, but I can tell you that I can pull my JTR into my garage. It’s close, but it clears. I’ll try to get a measurement later today, if I have time.
3- The only thing I did at the same time was the RC dual steering stabilizer. I had planned on doing it anyway, so I ordered and did it at the same time. Wasn’t a necessity, but more about what was convenient for me.

Awesome, that would be super helpful! And yeah, that steering stabilizer was the other element I was curious about.
I'm also trying to determine if this Skyjacker kit might address the same limitation (i.e., poor uptravel), and then just upgrade the shocks at a later date, if I need them.

just looked and found my earlier post about overall height:

As far as the stabilizer goes, it’s decent. A little “subjective” when you are installing it, but I feel my JTR rides and handles better than the factory set up.I kept the OEM stabilizer parts in case I wanted to go back to it. So far, I haven’t.

RC does seem to get a bad rap. I kind of chalk that up to it not being to "professional" brand, so people tend to give it crap. It's like you can buy an H&K pistol or a Ruger. The Ruger is probably fine to get you started. Then once you learn what you're doing you can move up to the H&K at a later time.

i love ruger revolvers! dang good 44 mags. im still researching lifts. but i will say i have pmed 6 different members running the rc 3.5 spring lift and all of the people that have it like it. i have pmed about several different lifts also and i have determined that all lifts are great! it seems. i do agree with you though. my #1 hobby is hunting and my first rifle set me back $100 used. it worked but my current setup cost as much as a game champion lift. jeeps are just a tool for me to get to my hunting spots. not a rock crawler for fun

Funny you should make that comparison- I have a number of different “micro” pistols for conceal carry purposes: Glock, Sig, Ruger, etc. and my “go to” is one of my Rugers…. The other funny thing is that I have never been interested in H&K, even when offered a fantastic deal. To each their own, right?

Yeah, I'm looking at the RC 2.5" for my JT. I'm not doing any major rock crawling, I don't do any of this semi-professionally or otherwise, and I am on a budget. I'm also planning on only going to 35's for my JT. If I want to build a bad ass rock crawling rig I'll apparently need to marry a hot blonde, and start a YouTube channel... That might be difficult though since my wife doesn't let me date other people and she'd probably frown on adding a hot blonde to the mix. ?‍

I only said H&K since that is typically considered a "high-end" pistol. I'm more of an FN guy. My carry is an FN 509. My side arm is an FN 509 Tactical. But I also have a Ruger Max 9 in my carry rotation, when I don't want to carry a larger pew pew. But I started all of my pew pew adventures with Rugers. They're budget friendly, reliable, and they're a trusted brand.

Yes, there are better brands out there, higher quality, more features, etc. But the Rugers can get the job done in 99% of the cases. Would I want to take a Ruger into combat? Probably not. But honestly that's not really it's intended purpose.

It seems to me it kind of the same thing with Jeep parts and accessories. If I'm going hardcore, (i.e. going into "off-roading combat"), then yes, I'd go with higher end, professional gear. But I'm just going out to get mud on the tires, do some trails and moderate overlanding (i.e. "every day carry), then the "Ruger" gear if probably sufficient.

I've never purchased lift kits from them but I purchased the coilover lifted struts for my previous Chevy Colorado and thought they were just as good as the Eibach kit I had. I did purchase the 2.5in leveling kit for the JT a few weeks ago, sent it back because I ended up going with the 2.0 AEV spacer lift and thought that kit was built nice as well. I will vouch for Rough Country being a great company and excellent customer service.

For your needs...35s. You will not need a lift. Guys with the Rubicon run 37s and a 2.5in lift.
And throw a winch on it.

If you aren’t rock crawling, and only doing fire roads, you really don’t need a lift of any sort at all.

Your Rubicon will fit 35 inch tires as is, put those on and be done with it.
That will probably take you 99% of the places you’re going to go as described.

I’ve got an 2.5” RC kit and it’s been great. Just springs up front and the N3 shocks on all four corners. I’ve got MetalCloak control arms up front and their track bars though. You’re gonna end up wanting those parts as well (or another good brand for adjustables).

The RC springs have been great and perform well. The N3 shocks are a great value in my opinion. If you like a stiffer, non-floaty ride like me, then you’d like the N3s. I’m so happy with these shocks that my next set will probably be RCs V2 Monotube shocks.

Either way….Check out some of those other kits that people are mentioning here. 3.5” lift will really benefit from a complete kit. If you go the RC 3.5” route, you’ll end up wanting to spend another $500-$1000 in adjustable control arms and rear track bar anyway.
