Rear bumper rust around tow hooks

I just noticed this starting on mine, despite being treated with Woolwax.

I plan on mentioning it at my next oil change to see if the corrosion warranty covers it before I waste a weekend taking the bumper off and painting it.

Did they cover it under warranty? Just noticed my tow hooks getting there and have a dealer appt coming up.

My dealership covered it, and replaced the part. I'm not sure what the corrosion warranty is, but I reported it to the dealership at about 13 months. Good luck.

Amazing. That is service.
I didn't look closely to see what that piece was a part of - it's the receiver, so it's a bolt-on part. (receiver if you have the tow package, that is, otherwise it's just a brace)

Update: Went to the dealership and repairs are covered under warranty; they are ordering a whole new trailer hitch assembly and installing it.
Not exactly sure what is going to be replaced though because I got distracted by failed state safety inspection because of window tint. Made another appointment for inspection when the doors will be off and trail mirrors are on.
