I hit an object in the road and destroyed a wheel, tire and my rear driver side fender. All tires have 28,000 miles on them. Should I buy a used wheel and a new Falken matching tire, then put the new spare tire on the other rear rim so the two rear tires are new, then put the used one on the...
I was looking at new wheel prices and almost $650 is eye-watering. I see there are a lot of used ones on ebay. I will probably just go that route. I need a tire, too, as it is destroyed from that large puncture.
I did not see anything in the highway as it was very dark. Suddenly, I felt a massive hit and the Jeep almost seemed to catch air. Then, there was a sound like a gunshot as the rear tire blew and the whole Jeep was shaking. I pulled over as soon as I could and got out to take a look. The driver...
Lockers are one of those things where, if you need them even once, they were worth it. I've only used mine once, but I needed them front and rear or I was stucko (deep snow). I could get along without the sway bar disconnect.
Totally disagree. The new, emissions-laden diesels are unreliable, overpriced hot garbage with a disable switch built in from the factory which could leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere.
This is precisely the reason I refuse to own any new diesel vehicle built after 2007.5. It's criminal that they can build in a program which shuts your vehicle down and puts you in physical danger. Just pathetic.
My cell phone carrier was hacked and my data was stolen (T-Mobile). My bank was hacked and data stolen. My DMV was hacked and my data stolen. Every big corporation I have done business with seems to have already been hacked and "offered free credit monitoring." This whole system is a scam.
Yes, this has been true going way back. I remember a wealthy guy who special ordered an early 90s 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban with a big block 454 when they only offered the 350.
I am totally happy with the engine power. The annoyance to me is the nasty detonation sound I get intermittently. It's always under low/no throttle input when the engine is warm, between 1,800-2,200 rpm, but that's neither here nor there. Otherwise, completely satisfied with the engine...
Dude, you have an F350 diesel, a Porsche and a Tesla model Y in your sig. Apples to oranges much? My Cummins-powered Ram 3500 smokes my Jeep with a load. So?
Hard disagree. I'm at 6,000+ feet for 6 months every year. I have never needed more power. This Jeep rips up and down the passes. 8k feet? No problemo. I'm passing people left and right. It likes to rev, sure, but I think it's meant to eat at 4,500 rpm in the steep mountains.
