That sounds like normal injector noise to me. I think mine sounds the same. These 3.6 injectors are very "ticky" as compared to any other fuel injected gasser I've ever had.
I have no interest in an EV, and I have no interest in a gas-guzzling V8. The last new V8 I bought was in 2005, and that's where I'd like it to stay.
I would love a smaller ICE engine which puts out over 300hp, 350 lb ft of torque, and gets over 20 mpg city, 25 highway. Swinging wildly back...
Nah, I think it's all good. There are no vibrations and it tracks straight on the highway. I was mostly concerned with steering components after the front took that hit.
I thank everybody who voted. I went with option 1. I found a new take-off wheel on ebay, with sensor, and bought a brand new tire at Discount Tire. It's all mounted and I am back in business.
I highly doubt most thieves are bringing relays and things with them. They are picking the easiest targets. There is no perfect theft prevention device for anything, it's about making it more complicated for them so they move onto something easier.
Yep. I have a kill switch in my diesel truck that is run through the ignition. However, if I am going to be parked somewhere and I am highly concerned about theft, I pull the fuel shutoff solenoid relay under the hood. Takes 10 seconds. There is no starting the truck without having one on hand...
ISO: 2026 Rubicon X with turbocharged inline 4 cylinder with 300+ horsepower and 300+ ft lbs of torque yielding over 20mpgs, with 35 inch tires. I'm there if they do it.
First off, using the lockers in deep snow. The larger tires and clearance are necessary where I go. I am less than 30 miles from the Rubicon trail for 6 months of the year, and I've done thousands of miles off road thus far.
