In some ways I will agree with you.
For past 35 years I have pulled a long, slant-load horse trailer all over the country with a Ford F-350 PowerStroke with a manual transmission. I can put that thing in just about any opening that it will fit..... but, the F-350 has a heavy duty clutch and...
Amen to that. I have a '21 and while my clutch is functioning, whenever I ask anyone with Jeep about the recall, I just get "crickets...."
Are the '24's rolling out with the same old manual tranny?
Thank you, sir. I wondered about that. I had a fella add some fog lights and I will bet that is what it goes to. I wasn't sure if it was a stock set up or aftermarket.
I appreciate it.
I opened the hood on my 2021 Mojave today to find that mice had built a nest on top of my main battery. After cleaning it out, I noticed that the small wire which connects to the positive terminal had been chewed in two. I stripped a bit of it, twisted together and taped, but I have no idea...
All I can add to this is that my '21 Mojave, about two years in, had the battery go down. I took it in and they checked it out and since the warranty was still in effect and the battery tested bad, they replaced it for no charge. Furthermore, while in, they checked the auxiliary battery and it...
Thanks for following up with this and reporting back. I tried calling my local dealership and since all of the mgrs in the service dept were tied up, the receptionist took my info and the essence of my question and promised they would call back...... they didn't. I don't think they want to...
I've had my '21 Mojave for over 2 1/2 years and stay pretty consistently in the 17-18 range. Occasionally, I will have a 19 in there. Oh, and it is a 6 speed manual.
Thanks for this report and review. I have wanted for a long time, to move to this new clutch and costs plus circumstances have prevented it. When I read your description of how much better it drove and didn't stall out at redlights, I just started salivating, ha.
So glad that it works out so...
Well, without being too direct and abrupt........ I think it is a total load of crap.
Oil technology and lubricants in general have definitely advanced, but the laws of metallurgy and physics are still in place. A new engine wears off burrs and slight imperfections during the break in period...
Thanks for the info and pictures.
I just got back yesterday from a trip to Wyoming and Montana (from Tennessee). I did not tow anything as it was more of a history trip. But, I gotta admit that I would never feel good about attempting a towing trip with that kind of weight in my Mojave...
Not enough can be said about the suspension. Living in Tennessee, I don't see much "desert" action but I'll never forget my first trip to Nashville in it in the Spring of the year. Winter potholes on the interstates are horrible and I remember hitting some of those and cringing just before as...
Well, today I went to get my jeep and the svc mgr told me that on second testing the aux battery tested bad too so they replaced it too. I'm glad the indicator lit up when it did or it could have drained the new primary in short time.
