  1. Your favorite cant live without mod

Top 3 mods - the first things I added: 1) Tazer mini to turn OFF the auto stop/start 2) stubby winch bumper and winch 3) Vent-visors (first thing I add to most any vehicle) Lots of other mods, and more to go. Jeeps are like Legos for adults!
  2. Silver Lake Jeep Invasion

Late for a report, but we did make it back in one piece. Guessing about 250 Jeeps in attendance. Had a good time on the trail ride and on the dunes. Vendor expo was really small. Didn't get a chance on the challenge course, as it was in a different location. a few pics: And I think I am...
  3. Best, cleanest looking way to route charging cables?

Cleanest? Likely add a USB port to the tray itself. Not exactly the same, but the idea: https://www.wranglerforum.com/threads/how-to-dash-mounted-usb-charge-port.774402/ The cleanest non-drill method I can think of, is to buy a LONG USB cable (10' or so). Route it along the top of the dash...
  4. Silver Lake Jeep Invasion

https://www.slsdjeepinvasion.com Anyone else going? We will drive up on Friday June 4th. While not fully back to "normal", it looks like the event is on. Sand Dunes, Trail Rides, Challenge Trail, vendors, food, and a party. Weather should be spectacular.
  5. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

UPDATE: Parts finally came in last week. TSB for the steering completed, along with a replacement radio (mine was rebooting every few minutes, especially when using the GPS). Steering issue resolved, as far as I can tell. Still so much "lighter" than my wife's JK, but no slop or vagueness. My...
  6. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Had my 2020 Rubi at the dealer Friday for the "vague steering" TSB. As soon as I mentioned it, the service writer was "Yep, pretty common. Let us take a look." A couple of hours later, they confirmed and ordered parts. Per the service writer, they have done quite a few, and know exactly what to...
  7. What features would you like to see on future Gladiators?

And another one..... Real half doors. Locking metal lowers and cloth uppers w/ glass sliders.
  8. What features would you like to see on future Gladiators?

Ohhh..... Import/export of GPS routes, tracks, and waypoints. I ended up getting a phone app so I could use my library of GPS data.
  9. Thoughts on Wheel and Tire weights 4.10's only

Not sure what the "obvious reasons" are for 100 lbs. As others have mentioned, lighter tends to be better, at least for the types of things most of us are using our Jeeps for. Specs for my BFG MTs in a 315 (35") show 73.55#. That's pretty heavy. Especially if the factory AT was really 61...
  10. What features would you like to see on future Gladiators?

Lockable bedside storage cubbies, similar to what is available in the Ram trucks. Integrated hitch receiver / rear bumper that provides a better departure angle. Look at the "brute" truck conversions, and their angled rear end and more compact rear bumper. Either programable or "remember...
  11. How Are Everyone’s Black Plastic Fender Flares Holding Up?

My rear flares are getting beat by gravel. Not fading (yet), but the JT is garaged.
  12. Question for those who have recalibrated their Speedometers with a Tazer and/or the like.

I used the size from the manufacturer, and then adjusted slightly to match my GPS-indicated speed. Was only off by 0.2 MPH at 60. Actually feels... strange... to have an accurate speedo in a Jeep.
  13. What I wish my Gladiator had.

The only thing I can think of that isn't already provided by the aftermarket is 2-piece metal doors with glass sliders in the uppers. Would have been killer from the factory, with factory mirrors and keyless entry / power locks. Bestop has fabric 1/2 doors and uppers. Might eventually produce...
  14. BRIGHT WHITE Gladiator JT Club

I'll play. We ended up with 2 white Jeeps, not exactly on purpose. Got a great deal on my wife's JK a while back. Ended up finding my JT used with 2K miles on it for a pretty sweet deal. Really wanted Granite Crystal, but never could find that color, with the right options, for the right price...
  15. My Gladiator is the most polarizing vehicle I’ve ever owned.

I've gotten at least a dozen "nice jeep" comments... from kids! Don't really care about what other adults think. I knew before buying it that some died in the wool Jeep owners hated the idea of a 4-door pickup as a "Jeep". Some folks hate square headlights, some folks hate coil springs. And...
  16. Zero Issues with Gladiator?

Bought mine used with 2K on the clock. Has 8K or so now. Absolutely zero issues at all (knocks on wood). Yeah, not enough mileage to REALLY know, but certainly nothing out of the box wrong.
  17. Rocks and lower door hinges

The rear lower door hinges on my JT and getting hammered by rocks from gravel roads. I had hoped the noise was the rock rails, but nope. Definitely getting up to the hinges. Sure, I can "fix" them by removing and painting, but they will just get torn up again. Thoughts on something to protect...
  18. Is it me, or does the Jeep windshield soak up way more bugs?

The JT picks up WAY fewer bugs than my wife's JK, or any previous Jeep I've had. The TJ was terrible. Actually, the CJ doesn't get that many. Then again, it can barely hit highway speeds.
  19. Importing GPS files to UConnect

Bumping this thread. Also interested in moving custom tracks/rounts INTO the Uconnect system. I have downloaded route files (.gpx) that I view on my phone and laptop, but would like to actually follow in the Jeep via the onboard nov system.
