That was a thought at one point but I am very OCD about keeping stuff clean. Like I don’t want to tie the rear camera washer into the windshield washer because I don’t want fluid running down the tailgate when it’s not needed. This bottle has ports for two pumps and each would get their own...
So I’m adding a second washer bottle to run headlight washers and a rear camera washer. I like how this bottle fits in this spot but wasn’t sure if it was too close to the cat. My other option is to put a diesel washer fluid tank setup in there. What do you think? This is the 3.6 V6 btw
I was thinking about that as well. I was debating on a relay possibly. Have power go through the relay freely but when pressing a switch it’ll let the relay reverse the polarity of the pump.
so the CVPM presents the soft button on the radio; that part is understood. Besides adding the CVPM to the system there’s no changes to the washer pump wiring circuitry. Am I correct to assume that? If that’s the case then the BCM should still have the ability to activate the washer pump in...
so there’s no way to put a hard button inline at all? All that’s needed is to reverse the polarity to use the other port. Besides the soft button what controls the front washer? The CVPM? The part I’m not fully understanding is the point of the washer pump harness or swapping wires to the...
So I’m really curious about the washer settings or activation. Is there a way to put the dual outlet pump in and make it work without doing the trail cam install? Say if you wanted to have a rear camera washer or rig up some sprayers for the headlights.
It’s the style pin I found on Amazon. I can get a link for you here shortly. They have many sizes. I got the 1.6” ones but the 1” ones should work as well. It’s a push button to release the balls at the bottom
Got mine done using the stock brackets. The pin is a 5/16” pin so I used a letter O (which is a little bit bigger than a 5/16” drill bit) bit to drill out the bracket holes and arm bushing. Hardest part was cutting the old pin to get the bracket off. No clicking at all.
ah so other than a reason to sell a kit instead of just a pin there’s no difference between the brackets. The stock arm gets drilled out to 5/16” to fit a sleeve in there so you can at least use a 5/16” pin
so I’m rather curious. Are there any dimensional differences between the stock brackets and the new ones? I’m just wondering why we can’t just knock out the pin and use the stock brackets.
definitely agree with you there but they said “tool less” removal. Those would require a tool to get the doors off. Even if it’s for the first and only time.
The door stop is a simple thing to make a quick disconnect but what I’m curious about is what they did for the door hinges. It didn’t say anything about taking the screws out. Just pull the pin an unhook the connector.
So I was wondering if anyone has looked into seeing if there’s a way to control the washer pump without having the front trail camera installed. Basically my idea is to put in the dual output pump to either spray the headlights or the rear camera. I know that all that’s needed is to reverse the...
Alright I know it’s been talked about a lot but I’m thinking about mounting my Uniden bearcat brain box on top of the factory inverter under my dash. On my JL I had it in the glovebox and behind it but never fell in love with the location. Will my new location work or are there any other sneaky...
i planned to make a few of them so I could do that. Just deciding how the best way to make it. Either have the threads machined onto the stud for the base like what I made already or machine the threads inside of a solid slug and you’ll just have to put an Allen head thread insert in the base.
