its not for saving gas, its the stupid epa for emissions. i think it hurts your gas mileage i heard spraying to start the engine takes more then just idling... could be wrong but i will always shut it off figured saving my starter the wear and tare would be better.

on your site it says the premium s series has the giiro joints. Is that right? @Clayton Off Road

I only scuffed up the clear coat and then did primer, it is holding up fairly well. I would do a bunch of coats of clear I think I did 3. I have a few dings out of it now but overall it is holding up well.
