I’m leaning towards the overland plus kit and am looking at which shocks to order. You have the Fox shocks 2-3in and 3-4 in. Any insight on which would work best with the 2.5in lift? Does it matter? This will be used mostly highway with light off-road during the spring summer.
The fox 2.0 2-3" would be perfect for your desired setup!

I'm considering either the Readylift 2.5 spacer kit or the Traxda 2.5 spacer lift. Also going to get Fox Shocks.

Any one know anything about the Rubicon Express 3.5 lift. Just want to be able to offroad on the weekend nothing crazy but dont want to go with the cheaper spacers route

I don't have any personal experience with the Rubicon Experess kit, but I have heard it's not a very good ride. But for that amount of money, you can get a MOPAR kit. Although it looks cool, you don't need 3.5" to go offroad on the weekends. I've been going offroading on the weekends with the MOPAR kit for about 10 months now. It comes with the Fox shocks for a good ride on road, has new springs and control arms to keep geometry correct. There are a lot of us out on the trails with this kit.

You can get the Rubicon Express kit with Fox shocks for the same price as the Mopar kit. Mopar doesn’t address either track bar, which is a turnoff for many. I’ve read good reviews from folks on this forum about the RE 3.5/2.5 kit. It’s a bit stiffer, but that’s true of just about any lift with Fox shocks.

Check out Clayton Off-road’s 2.5” lift, seems to be very high quality
If he doesn't have a rubicon the Clayton 2.5" is closer to 3.5-4. it's meant to be 2.5" on a rubicon with a lot added to it like heavy skid plates, bed rack, gear, etc. Its not 2.5" before all that stuff only to measure to 1.5" after. Starts big to accomodate gear and still have 2.5" onna rubicon after.

Sort of yes, but that's if you're measuring from the front since we do aim to get rid of a little bit of the factory rake! Measuring from the rear on a Sport Sahara model you should be seeing between 3 and 3.5" of lift right after initial install!

While we do try to keep prices fair and competitive while also maintaining our 100% made-in-the-USA guarantee, this is our premium version of the kit which includes Johnny Joints at one end of the control arms. We do offer a slightly less expensive variant with our Giiro joints instead called the Overland Plus series! The Overland Plus series is great for somebody who does a lot of on-road highway driving with some wheeling trips on weekends, while the Premium Series is more for your hardcore off-road enthusiast. Hope that helps!
on your site it says the premium s series has the giiro joints. Is that right? @Clayton Off Road

The Premium Kit uses a Johnny Joint Adjuster on one side of the control arm, and a Giiro Joint on the other, so yes that is correct!

@Clayton Off Road how much of a lift does the 2.5” vs the 3.5” get you on a rubicon? I’ve read mixed heights som saying up to 4.5? If it’s at that height would you recommend new driveshaft or spacers?

On a Rubicon, the 2.5" kit would get you around 3", and the 3.5" kit would get you around 4". Sport/Sahara models a little bit more of course, which is where most of the height confusion comes from. We always recommend a new custom driveshaft with our kits, however if you don't plan on taking the Jeep off-roading or flexing it out, the upgrade isn't as necessary. Also, the 3.5" kit would definitely benefit more from the driveshaft upgrade than the 2.5" kit which you could probably get away with running the stock unit a little longer. Hope this helps!
