I have looked at lift kits and forums until I couldn't hold my eyes open for the last 6 nights and have made no headway. My Gladiator will be used for commuting and some beach days. I want to run 37s on 20s so know ill need at least 3". Will a spacer lift ruin the ride? Don't want to break the bank on a fully capable lift system when I know I won't "use it". This is my third Jeep (98 Sahara, 09 2dr Sport), and this one will be a Mall crawler that vacations on the 4wd beach accesses. Any help and info appreciated.

I had a 2.5" spacer lift on my 18 JL and now I have aftermarket coils and shocks. In my experience it's more of a cushiony ride when going over bumps in the road. My spacer lift felt more stiff. If you have the money I guess you can get what all these guys rave about on here. Clayton, Evo , Mopar ... If you don't have loads of cash like me and settled for a 35k Gladiator you can get a rough country kit pretty cheap. I bought a 3.5" RC lift with adjustable control arm , coils and shocks for $650.

Don't let lift kits make you lose sleep man! ;) There are a lot of viable options for a vehicle like yours that you know won't be seeing much, if any off road use. We are in the process of finishing up and releasing our sort of "entry level" kit, which will feature only the necessary components to lift the JT without compromising ride quality, but without the off road capability. If you're interested you can always PM us or give us a call! (203) 691 8593

No, spacers won’t ruin the ride if you have a Rubicon. Checkout my thread on the Skyjacker G250MSB...

Jeez - just go the cheapest route - it's a mall crawler!
