Sure! The factory rear coil in the JT is a triple rate design so we tried to match that as closely as possible in order to maintain the factory like feel but with the added height of course and ability to carry more weight. We also go over all of our springs with a SealKor finish, which is a zinc-rich powder coat to help against corrosion. If you'd like some more info on the actual spring rates I will be posting the pre-order information soon with all of the specs so keep an eye out!
To clarify, did you match the stock spring rates or just the progression of the rates (to achieve additional weight capacity)? Speaking of additional weight, how much extra did you design the springs to carry?

Please drop a link in this thread for the pre-order/spring rate info so we don't miss it.

@Bbannongmu Thanks for the link. After a little digging around on their site, I was able to find where they listed the spring rates. It is nice to see someone share that info about their products. I would still like to know how much extra weight the tested these springs for since they advertise that as one of the features of them.

I'm also finding it hard to locate any flex info on the GIIRO joints (I can't get to the redrangerusa.com website here at work). From what I gather, they appear to fall someplace between stock bushings and Johnny joints. A video showing how much articulation the thru bolts have on each of those joint types would be nice to see.

Might need to mention @Clayton Off Road so they get an alert. Can be tough to keep up with all the forum posts on different places. They’ve been great about answering questions and really working with this new JT community.
@Geekjeep
Is this all helpful or should we shift this discussion to another thread?

We always use the progression of factory springs as a base for all of our spring designs, after all Jeep does spend a lot of time and money coming up with the best designs possible. Our goal is never to reinvent the wheel, but to improve upon and add what we feel is necessary in order for our customers to have the best experience possible with our lift kits. All of our aftermarket springs have an increased spring rate over factory, and the taller the spring, the higher of a spring rate is used to support the weight of the vehicle properly. We also work closely with our spring manufacturer to estimate and try to compensate for any additional weight that might be added, while keeping in mind every customers needs and uses are different.

To answer your question about the flex of our Giiro Joints, I will include a link to an article we wrote up a little while ago that has all of the specs and information you need on the bushings themselves. I can tell you here though that the Giiro bushing has 13.3 degrees of movement in each direction, and will get you over 50 degrees of unrestricted movement. Check out more information on these joints here.

Thanks for the additional info. So the springs are designed with a higher rates which translates to more weight carrying capacity, but there was no target of "additional" weight tested. I'm not stating that as a good or bad thing, just as what I understand. It would be interesting to test how much the stock suspension squats with 100lbs added to it and compare that to how much your lift systems squat with the same weight/location applied to it.

Thanks for the GIIRO specs as well. I'm off to read that link now.

Anytime! We'll have to try to film some kind of video in the future to test that out, although I know it can withstand more than one hundred additional pounds without squatting as one of the vehicles we tested with had about 275 additional pounds on and in the bed and the springs held up great.

That would be cool to see and I just 100lbs as around figure. That kind of test could give you a number you could market over the factory setup.

Also, when I was on your Overland Plus lift page, there was not link to the page you posted a few minutes ago. You might think about linking to that in the Track Bar section where you start talking about the GIIRO joints.

Thanks again for the quick response and making all this info available. Back in the JK world it was really hard to get sprint rate info.

Yeah of course whatever you guys want to know just ask. We've always tried to be as transparent with our customers as possible, unfortunately we just haven't gotten onto the forums until recently.

The page I sent you is actually a part of our "news" section, but that is a good idea so I will have somebody set up a link in the description for it as well.

Thank you everyone for your input. I decided to go with Clayton Offroad. Spent a lot of time chatting with them and love the service the add along with the product. Really excited and will post pics once they come in. I encourage anyone whos on the fence to give them a call. I was surprised to see how much time they spent with me repeatedly answering my questions.
Good luck
Have you received and installed the kit yet? Interested as I am on the fence on COR 2.5" vs Mopar 2"

Yes I’ve installed it and am very happy. IMO I compared the reviews and what was offered in the mopar kit and just couldn’t justify it. Overall opinions on it are mixed. What really pushed me over was the calls I had with Clayton. To me they were a really great. Answered all my questions and made me feel important. I knew “if” I had an issue I had great guys behind it. By the way I went with the 3.5 kit. I really wanted the 2.5 but for all the money and work I felt go with the 3.5 and am happy.

Ok, so I've had my JT since June 2019. Had the MOPAR 2" installed around September. It handles good off road and even better on road. I take it off road about twice per month (not lately cause of COVID-19), and clearance has never been a problem. My previous rig was a Ram with a 6" suspension and 3" Body lift and had 38" tires at one point. That much was for looks. I accomplished everything that I needed to when I had only a 3" lift. The bigger the lift and tires, the more my ride quality decreased. And I've noticed the same for other rigs from other manufacturers including Jeep. Not saying your rig will be the same, But I accomplish everything I need with the 2" lift and it looks good.

Pics please. I’m on the fence about Clayton 2.5 or 3.5. Would love to see some pics and hear some feedback.

I’m leaning towards the overland plus kit and am looking at which shocks to order. You have the Fox shocks 2-3in and 3-4 in. Any insight on which would work best with the 2.5in lift? Does it matter? This will be used mostly highway with light off-road during the spring summer.
