No pictures of it, but I started out cleaning the rims with a sponge and water, then used purple power de greaser to get all the grim off, then I used a scotch bright pad to scuff it up a little. then primed it.
did two light coat of primer
then three coats of color paint.
then four coats of matte clear coat
and done
going to paint the lugs black but thought I had paint but guess I don't so they are just primed right now.
cant wait to get them on the truck, but I want to let them dry over night before putting them on, have the rear to do as well but we are expecting rain for the next few days ugh.
Used theseThat came out great! I was thinking about painting mine as well. May actually buy a set of 5 rims from craigslist or ebay and do a 1 wheel test and then either do the remaining for my complete set or sell off the 4 if it turns out I don't like the look.
My question is, what kind of primer and paint did you use for yours?
