  1. So many doodads

I recall reading years ago an article that said officially that the Jeep was the most customizable vehicle on the road. This was based on a count of aftermarket parts available for each vehicle they researched. It even beat out Honda Civics and other tuner cars. This was also an article written...
  2. Mojave fuel mileage: 20.2

I was getting just above 20 on my Overland with stock tires for the first 1,500 miles. After swapping to 33s and using the JScan to adjust the speedo I'm averaging more like 18.5 per the DIC on the dash. Still better than any other Jeep I've ever owned, but worst than my Silverado Ecotec 5.3...
  3. Discount Tire Experience

They don't, nor do they do brakes, oil changes, or mufflers. Most tire shops don't offer alignments unless they offer other automotive services. That's interesting. I just bought a set from DT and they priced matched no problem. They even priced matched for tires they didn't technically carry...
  4. Discount Tire Experience

Those look good on that color. I’ve bought all, but one set of tires from Discount over the years. They’re phenomenal at what they do. If I find a better price on tires elsewhere they have always priced match to keep my business. I can’t see a reason to go anywhere else.
  5. Rubicon vs Overland vs Mojave

As far as trims go, no you won’t be limiting yourself to go off-road from what you described you want to do. I’ve owned 3 Wranglers (a YJ and 2 TJs) and now my JT. Jeeps have always been extremely capable regardless of the trim. Before the Rubicon came out in ā€˜03 on the TJ there wasn’t much...
  6. Rubicon vs Overland vs Mojave

This is always a fun question. The Rubi guys will of course tell you that nothing beats their Rubicon. And the Mojave guys will tell you why the Mojave is better than the Rubicon. That's an argument that will most likely never be won. At the end of the day buy what you want and what you feel...
  7. Mojave take off suspension on Overland

I double checked and I misquoted, it's the front shocks that have the bushing issue. It looks like its the lower mount that is the culprit. Post #85 should point you in the right direction...
  8. Mojave take off suspension on Overland

Good find and that's a fantastic price.:handsinair: #jealous I usually see them when they pop up for at least a grand or more. I believe the control arms are the same on all of the trims though. I just did the Rubicon shock/springs takeoffs on mine from a forum member who swapped their Rubi over...
  9. Hell of a deal on a Truck Tent $25

Literally my exact same thought. For the $37 why not? I just ordered one too, I had looked at these before for my Silverado, but never wanted to pull the trigger for $200. For under $40 it's a no-brainer, I could probably sell it on FB marketplace for what I have in it also if the boys aren't...
  10. Buy sell CarMax

Interesting, this was like 12 years ago for me so I imagine quite a lot could change.
  11. Buy sell CarMax

Do the consultants no longer make spiffs for each sale? Back in the day IIRC, I interviewed to work there when I had lost another sales job and during the interview I was explained more or less that it was a salaried position, and for each car sold it was like $100 regardless of the price of the...
  12. JScan app

I thought I would share what those with the Overland trim are talking about. As you can see in the picture there is another module on top of the security gateway. It can’t be accessed by reaching up. You have to snake your arm in front of that cross support to unclip the connections.
  13. 2021 Gladiator Texas Trail Model Announced & Jeep Badge of Honor Program Adds Two Texas Trails

So is Hidden Falls no longer on the BOH app? I've read other posts and FB groups saying it was added, but now I don't see it. Was it deemed not BOH worthy by Jeep? It's less than an hour from me and it's a nice park although it's gotten plenty busy especially with all of the UTVs and buggies...
  14. Big bend np

Not sure if you've made the trip yet or not. We just got back from our trip a couple weeks ago. We used to head out there every year when I had the TJ so it's been about 6-7 years since the last time we were out there. We ran almost every trail including Black Gap Rd with my stock Overland with...
  15. Those Who Swapped to Rubicon Shocks/Springs

I fully expected it to be firmer so that's what I had anticipated. Firmer is good for an off-road vehicle. The problem for me really lies in the rear I believe. This may be some of the issue of other reviewers as it seems many that do the swap have the Sport Max Tow so they're not swapping their...
  16. Those Who Swapped to Rubicon Shocks/Springs

I recently swapped my springs and shocks with some Rubi takeoffs on my '21 Overland. I read quite a few posts here and on the FB groups and the overall consensus was how much everyone liked the swap. So I found some advertised locally on FB marketplace from a forum member and pulled the trigger...
  17. Factory spring mystery

I could find almost nothing on the new spring numbering either. I was looking at some Rubi takeoffs and wanted to compare to my stock setup before I purchased a set, but since I could only find write ups on the old spring numbers I took a chance. My rake was very close to that too around 2"...
  18. Factory spring mystery

That's my point, with the new number sequencing that MOPAR is using on these springs it doesn't line up with the previous iterations where one could simply look at the 3 digit number and determine its place in the hierarchy. It looks like I have the same springs on my JTO as @Garemlin and...
  19. Factory spring mystery

I know it's been a couple of months since this was discussed, but thought I would chime in on those spring numbers since I was doing some research on those same ones. I bought my '21 Overland last month and it had the following springs: FL-7795AA FR-6342AA RL-6117AA RR-6118AA I haven't...
