Noted, I'm running slightly taller, but narrower at 275/70R18. So I imagine the weight is similar between the two.
I'm roughly at 1 1/2" with the Rubicon takeoffs on my Overland. I never did measure the rake before. It would be interesting to start a thread and see the different rakes by trim.
@Garemlin shared previously his front spring numbers and they were identical to mine on my Overland. So I'm not sure why so many say the rake is different from Sports and Overlands when they apparently share the same springs.
I'm the opposite. My Overland setup was like butter. Now with the...
The Willys does come with rock rails, but doesn't have the suspension from the Rubicon JT. It has the same shocks used on the JL Rubicon though. I'm guessing that's what Jeep is referring to by "HD" shocks. The springs are actually the same as what was on my Overland stock.
I've seen quite a few folks use a black weather stripping type product. It looks better on the black fenders, I'm not really a fan of it on the painted fenders though. Personally I still find this an odd design by Jeep. I'm not really sure why they needed that recess as opposed to a flush mount...
This is similar to what I experience with my setup as well, although all four corners are Rubi take offs. This has me wondering if it's really more the shocks than the springs then. I know the Rubi shocks are setup to be firmer than the Overland, but without any weight in the rear I wonder if...
From what I've seen the Willys have the same springs as the Overland and Sport, but JLR shocks(which doesn't add height). The Overland and Willys also both have the same equivalent tire size too. 255/70R18 (32.1"x10") vs 255/75R17 (32.1"x10").
Update: So I've been driving around for about a month now. It's funny, some days I feel like I must have gotten used to it and it doesn't feel as rough and I'm completely Ok with the ride. Then there are others like today, where it still feels like the rear "bucks" over bumps. I'm debating on...
You said “The axles are the same as the Mojave which are better than the Rubicon. ”
So I was asking how are the axels on the HA and Mojave are different from Rubicon and what makes them better? I thought the max tow, Mojave, Rubicon, and HA all had the same axle.
I feel somewhat sorry for those folks that dropped all of that money on Brute conversions now that the JT is here. They just kind of blend in now instead of standout like they once did. And lets face it, the people who paid for them wanted to stand out amongst the sea of JKs.
Bought mine off the lot the first week of June. Very little negotiation on the JT, but they honored their internet advertised price, which was already discounted. They did negotiate on my trade though. I went with the high number from KBB and they low balled me on the trade. I stuck to my number...
Similar to what I heard as well as I was told it had to do with the large influx of people who moved to Texas this past year (so more people having/causing accidents). We already have fairly high rates anyway due to the fact we have 3 of the top 10 largest cities in the US (4 if you do the top...
More than likely you're getting a new policy rate vs a existing policy rate. New policies usually get a lower rate at first to attract new customers. A lot of people jump to different insurers all the time to take advantage of this.
It also could be a rate adjustment, some states go up some...
FWIW, my JTO is probably the quietest Jeep we've ever owned. 1 YJ, 2 TJs (all soft tops), and 1 KK (with the sky slider roof). Compared to my '15 LTZ Silverado I just traded in, it sounds like a hurricane. Having owned multiple Jeeps though I was still impressed with how quiet it is, but knew...
