I finally have an update from the shop on what they're replacing. Apparently this somehow took 3 weeks to put together.
Talking with the service advisor I'm not sure what to think as apparently part of the reason for the delay was one mechanic shop wanted to basically change out the entire...
He’s 21 so not a minor. The car status is weird, even the insurance advisor said the whole thing was weird and they were trying to get the story straight. Looking at the registration in the window from one of my pics, it was last registered 2/22 and expired 2/23 this year. It’s not something I...
It's not a great update, but it's what I have at the moment.
It's been 10 days since I dropped off at the body shop and they're saying now it will be Monday before they finally have an estimate worked up on the damages. The mechanic shop apparently wasn't even able to look at it for almost a...
Just got back from the repair shop this morning. I had to point out a lot to them to take pictures of. He didn't even see the bumper damage or the hood lifted up on the driver's side. At the moment he's thinking cosmetically, a new bumper, fender flare, wheel, tire, side step, and possibly the...
At the moment that’s my biggest fear since I took a direct shot to the axle basically. The inside of the tire has some rub damage from the upper spring mount as well as some damage to the inner wheel where it hit the steering linkage just to give some idea how much the impact moved the tire/wheel.
Nothing close up, just that first shot I posted when he was still sitting in the middle of the intersection. Since he ran the stop sign and hit me I didn't really care about his damage in all honesty and I was dealing with the cops for most of it. He didn't know whether he had insurance or not...
Yeah I was honestly expecting when I got out for it to just be a mangled mess based on the impact, but I guess the Mustang was so low to the ground and hit the axle directly it minimized the cosmetic damage. I guess I'm lucky it wasn't a full size truck.
This morning I was just making a quick run to Home Depot and got T-boned by a Mustang that ran through a stop sign.
It’s a new intersection that recently opened up to cross traffic where it used to dead end for the direction the Mustang was traveling. For some reason they decided to make only...
I would highly recommend looking into the Eibach shocks. I've been a big fan of them since I made the switch. I find them to be exactly what I was looking for and seem to a balance between the digressive Bilstein and the progressive Fox as the Eibach are linear from what I understand.
I have a...
This is a front steel skid plate from a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with a plastic bumper. This includes the brackets necessary if you have the a plastic skid/cowl. I did spray this with truck bed liner about a year ago as there were a few small scuffs from off-road. The bed liner has held up...
This is a plastic rear bumper from a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Overland. I added the factory Mojave part to add a second rear tow hook. You will need to reuse your trailer hook up and license plate lights along with your wire harness. All are fairly easy otherwise it’s a direct bolt on for your Sport...
I have a set of new take offs rear Jeep Gladiator Rubicon red rear tow hooks from 2023 Rubicon. These are practically new and sell for $60+ each on the part sites. I have a set of the proper bolts, but I’m missing the other set so I can toss in some zinc equivalent in size and strength from the...
I love the Eibach Pro-Truck Sport shocks I added to my (Rubicon spring added) JTO, so that’s my recommendation. I'm very pleased with the ride quality now after dealing with the terrible Rubi shocks and find the ride very similar to the stock Overland ride IMO...
I'm a big fan of Eibach right now. After installing their Pro-truck Sport shocks I will be adding their springs after I burn through my current 33" tires.
I would go with their 2" front/1" rear setup with shocks and that should get you what you need to clear the 35s and also level out the rake...
I run 275/70R18 on my stock Overland with Rubi springs and I'm happy with them. They're basically the same size circumference tire just a little less than an inch narrower. (33.2" vs 33.3") I did need to use JScan to reset the tire size to correct the speedometer and the transmission shift...
I was concerned there may be a push to one side as well as I had read some aftermarket gas charged dampeners cause this. The best I can tell it's still tracking straight down the highway with no issues or corrections. From what I have read, Eibach states their steering stabilizer is a gas...
The stabilizer arrived mid last week actually just haven't had a ton of time to write a review. It was dropped shipped from Eibach (just like the shocks were when I ordered them through a different third-party) as I ordered it through Shock Surplus and took advantage of a discount coupon on top...
