Yeah it's a bit weird considering the alignment pin and the bolts line up on the header only in one position. There's not really anyway to move it more forward or back, etc. I do have the factory spray in bed liner though so maybe that's an issue, I don't know.
Other than the leaking I love it...
I just picked one up a basically brand new one this past week from a 2022 off of marketplace and I'm really happy with it. I really don't like the look of the velcro and what not that the aftermarkets use to secure the sides and I'm not a fan of the room the tri-folds still take up when folded...
Great to hear you had a positive experience with these as well. The liners are annoyingly in the way, but they do pull and maneuver out of the way with some manipulation luckily.
It's been a little over a month for me since the install and I am still loving the ride difference these made...
If you happen to locate one I would be much obliged if you could send one my way. I’m not a huge fan of the local dealership and from what I’ve seen online, some of these vendors want $12 for shipping which seems pretty steep for a bolt they could toss in a padded envelope.
Let me know and I...
I went ahead and just ordered a steering stabilizer as well. Shock Surplus had the same price as Eibach had plus they sent me a $20 coupon to my email this morning so that was enough to push me to buy it. Just under $90 with tax seemed like a fair price since they're normally $114. Now I need to...
My wife's Subaru jumps +/-5mph every time you press the cruise up or down and you have to hold it to increase or decrease in multiples of 1mph. I personally hate it, as usually I just want to bump up or down my cruise speed a mph or so based on traffic flow around me.
By contrast the JT cruise...
Also, for anyone considering the products from Eibach, I just looked and the sale is still on and runs through 4/14.
I'm debating on grabbing a matching steering stabilizer. I'm on the fence though as there isn't anything wrong with my stock one at the moment and "if ain't broke" keeps popping...
From what I've read here on the forum, the Rubi Fox shocks extended lengths are 23.875" front and 25.75" rear and have 8" front and 8.25" rear of travel. So fully compressed they would be 15.875" front and 17.50" rear.
The info I posted previously I received from Eibach shows the 0-2"...
@Murray
Do you actually want a "softer ride" or a more "controlled ride"? Softer isn't necessarily better.
I had a great ride with my stock Overland setup and it wasn't until I switched over to Rubi spring/shock takeoffs that I realized how different the two setups were. The Rubi springs are...
I'm glad you like them so far. One of the best things I've done IMO is install these shocks. I need to reach out to Eibach and see if I can become a brand ambassador like some brands have.
They are definitely both longer and firmer. I know when I was installing mine, I had to lift the Jeep...
If I could find a set of painted (Sarge Green) front Mojave/Rubicon fenders with liners locally I would be all over it. Good for you finding a painted set for a good price!
Based on your pics it looks like you're in the coastal plains area. That's a pretty wide area though so it's hard to narrow down where since there isn't a lot of natural landmarks.
There's a popular overlanding route that's made up of county roads like this in Central Texas just west of Austin...
They will still be JLs I'm sure. It's just a mid generation refresh. It's actually pretty typical for Jeep. The JK got one in 2011. The TJs got one in 2003. Honestly I think the refresh is a good sign they plan to keep the JL around at least a couple more years. If they were doing a new...
I bought these knock off ones on Amazon in January.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBTB93LK/ref=syn_sd_onsite_desktop_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&pd_rd_plhdr=t
They're currently $250 plus $15 off via a coupon. Which is actually cheaper than what I paid as they weren't being discounted another $15 at the...
Its been reported that the JTRs are no longer coming with the Fox shocks, but I believe the Mojaves are still. Without those Fox 2.5 remote reservoir shocks would be a loss of a major selling point for the Mojaves, so if the Fox/Jeep relationship is truly over I'm curious to what Jeep plans to...
Do it! I cannot recommend these shocks enough. I don't have a set of Bilstein handy to provided a side by side comparison, but these completely solved the floaty ride from the Rubi Fox shocks.
I also highly recommend the Mopar 2" lift LCAs for anyone using the Rubi springs as well. Combined...
That sucks! Luckily the damage wasn't too bad.
Back in 2008 my parents had just bought a new Lincoln MKX, a couple days later parked it in the garage and left for a vacation that was out of state for about a week. When they came back they discovered a rat had chewed up a bunch of wires in the...
I went with these shocks for my Overland with Rubicon springs.
