A little jenky, but functional. I guess if I go that route, I'd use a cable lanyard and notch the panel vs. drilling. Something like this from MSC or McMaster.
You'd think the top manufacturers would do something for this out of possible liability.
Hello gang - I bought this and never installed in my JT (I went with the JL800), so selling as I am no longer going to use it. It's fairly easy/straightforward to install if you're good with routing and hooking up wires and reading directions.
Works with 2020- 2023 JTs and 2018-2023 JLs...
I have a set of jam nut wrenches from Barnes and a heavy duty breaker bar that I use. The jam nut wrenches work as torque arms, so if you were to torque the nuts, you'd need to factor length and arm angle into the measurement.
I can't say that I ever measured torque when tightening these, but I...
Buy the front diesel springs if you don't want rake, but the ride will be stiffer, unless you have some additional weight up front. Clayton's rake is less aggressive than factory and the Mopar, confirmed that from Clayton before I bought these. I've never had a problem with short spacers and...
Bumping/updating to reflect new price of $50. For all four springs. I also have some JT stuff to give away - front door molle panels, a rubber bed mat, and some factory JT Rubicon rock rails.
Fox has always told me that you have to send them in for service, which I agree, sucks, but if they are going to warranty them, they have to see it, right? I recently hit them up for help on something with my Raptor shocks, and they weren't all that helpful due to proprietary reasons with Ford...
For my setup, yes, but I have the skids, steering cooler, lights, and supercharger in addition to my winch and plate. If I didn't have those things I wouldn't do it, the 3/4 spacer compensates for the winch - it's what I ran before adding all the other stuff. I also can dial in the ride a little...
I used a cheap rough country 3/4 inch spacer to compensate for the winch and it took out the weight-induced rake; ride was fine. For me, it’s almost part of installing a winch anymore, I've done it a few times. I did install diesel springs later because I added a few more pounds to the front...
If this is the DCC50S, you just need to hook that wire to a run source, you can fusetap it to F57 or F58, they are only on when the engine is running. If you don't have heated seats, check to see if you have voltage anyway, if not, there are other fuses to try for this.
You should be able to...
With the semi-float axle and reusing stock brakes/backing plate, they can only go so large on the bearings. The bearings for the axle I have are set80, which is what most of the semi-float aftermarket axles use. I took a look at mine and OD is the same as stock.
Hey all, just wanted to say it was a great pleasure meeting everyone (and @Jaxmax again) and running the trails Saturday. What a great day for a ride with an awesome group of folks! @AmishMike, @NachoRubi, and @Jaxmax. Even Jen, who complains that we break shit every time we wheel said she had...
