I have a set of oem black leather covers in the for sale section. It would be easy enough to replace that section. Well it looks like it was deleted, not sure why.

When I added sound deadener to my interior I covered the bottom third of the vent on both sides, covered the metal plate on one side leaving a slot for air and made a scoop shape on the other side. It did make a difference in road noise.
I installed Method 105's and had a 3/8" gap. I asked Method and they said they recommended the spacers. I asked about it on a forum where beadlocks are common and there was a few with a lot of experience that said no spacers for that range of stickout.
