I carry a couple mountain bikes a few times a week and I also occasionally use my bed for plywood, sheetrock and lumber.
Before the bikes I had the drop in board and one on the fender and a trifold cover. I liked this setup for carrying stuff(groceries/bags) having the divider keeps things from sliding all over the bed.
I bought a cheap roll up cover off amazon that turned out to be pretty nice. I built what is shown in the pictures and it's been working great. I went through a few different ways to secure the bikes and finally ended up using nutcerts and a couple stainless tie down loops with ratchet straps. It's working out great, snug fit but still lifts straight out if I need the whole bed. With it installed it allows you to load 4x8 sheets supported front and rear.
