I have a diesel and we are supposed to allow the turbo to cool down before shutting off the engine. So I just disconnected one of the hood plungers (cant remember which one) that disengages the auto on/off at stops. Been that way for a year and all good. Yes, I allow the turbo to cool down below...
Thanks for putting this together, I could not find where you listed power consumption. How long it will last on a 100 amp/hr battery is a very important consideration. Thanks.
Howdy, I have a set of Gladiator Rubicon rock sliders that I'm willing to give away to anyone willing to come pick them up.
They are free. I tried to sell them on FB but no takers even at $30.
If you wanted to trade them for a bottle of a 1.75l bottle of yellowtail red wine (abt $12 at Kroger)...
I like the look of the iDash better, very nice, but a lot more expensive (I don't have one).
I believe they pretty much do the same thing.
The scanguage2 will let me clear codes (I've never done it), I don't know if the iDash will clear codes.
Just research both and get whichever you like...
Get yourself a scanguage2 (abt $150) or Banks iDash and you can see when a regen is happening. I have the scanguage2 and my rig goes into regen every 700-800 miles, or when my dpf soot load reaches 80%. I've never seen any messages on the vehicles display when these happen, but the scanguage2...
I'd give them a week to respond then, if nothing heard back from them, dispute the charge with your credit card. Don't lose your money by waiting to long.
Wow, I didn't know you could get 8 hrs of run time out of those battery powered ac units.
I carry my little honda 2000 watt generator for charging my batteries and running the ac at night. It's way cheaper for me than solar. Generator runs 10 hrs on one gal of gas.
Good luck whichever one you...
What are you looking to cool? Rooftop camper, pop-up, Cargo trailer? BTUs are the important thing. I camp in a 6x12 cago trailer I converted into my camping shack on North Padre island and cool it with a 5000 btu window a/c.
