Actually, he would have been fine at either if those speeds.
Just not the 25ish he was doing.
During the pre-race meeting they actually stated 45mph to clear the gap jump.

I have been interested in building a 4600 class JT, but they limit y to 2.65in shocks. This is a bummer because I've developmed 3.0's for both the gladiator and Raptor (raptor technically has 3.1s, but because it's internal bypass the piston is still equalivalent to a 2.5in shock).

I have been jumping the JT at 60+ mph since the factory installed Mopar lift. Here's a video when I was running 2.5 DSC's (no longer the case as everything is 3.0 ture bypass now)

4 pages and no one actually pointed at the culprit. The anemic V6. Having low power is an actual safety issue as demonstrated here and needs to be corrected.
That 250 pound V6 would take flight easier than that Heavy V8 6.4. Think motocross etc.

Jim, the driver of the truck posted a discussion he shared on Instagram stating that was supposed to be a 45mph jump, but he thought it was a tabletop and therefore was not on the gas. He could have been on the gas but wasn't. Not a power issue of the engine

TWISTED JEEPS may be the most appropriate decal of all time.

And this one could probably become a Ford commercial.

The question is, what ( or who ) got them distracted at the driver’s meeting?

It's not a hard jump, he stated in the video he should have been at 45 mph, but he and his wife somehow missed this info during the drivers meeting. He had plenty of room ro accelerate to 45+ mph, but he did not. He's raced a few othr classes so hes not a rookie here either. Just unfortunate because it makes the JT look pretty bad

I have videos of me doing jumps in Barstowat 60+ mph, its not hard, and even the mopar lift can handle a jump or two (though the big jumps will blow out the facty bumpstops like what happened to me haha)
