Off subject, but my sales person at the dealership asked me what their service department was charging me for labor, then told me to go to belle tire because she “knew a guy” who’d do it for cheaper. aka, don’t think it matters who installs the Mopar kit
Installed Rubi takeoff’s (shocks and coils) with Synergy shock extension brackets, teraflex 1.5” leveling kit, daystar 3/4” rear spacer, Mopar 2” lift LCA’s (because why not). Before and after pics to come. Here she is on a quick jack, which came in handy for this job.
awesome, thank you. So are you saying I shouldn’t do the rear spacer eh? The steel bumper will be enough to give the back a little rake over the front? I plan on running stubby too, so another wrench in the weight equation
Well you're in luck, as I have a stock overland atm. Doing the full rubi suspension on saturday, so I will definitely take some measurements and see where I end up. This will be with the plastic bumper. Once I install the steel bumper, I'll take some additional measurements up front and see how...
I’m adding a steel bumper to my overland, but I will have the rubicon suspension, with the Teraflex 1.5” leveling kit up front. Also, I bought the 3/4” daystar rear spacer, because i wanted some rake, but this was before i picked up a steel bumper. I’m wondering if the steel bumper will be...
Yea, I'm also doing this install myself, with some help from my brother, but install seems very straightforward. I've watched enough install video's to do it in my sleep, but we won't know how it'll go until we are under there. Good luck with your install!
Right, exactly. My guess would be all trims have the same length shocks, since the 1“ difference in coil height won’t really affect the shocks. Anything above 2” would require a shock length upgrade IMO. I opted for the shock extension brackets with my leveling kit and rubi suspension, as it is...
You’d be fine with the shock extension brackets with the additional 1” lift from the rubicon coils. As far as getting info for coil part numbers good luck. I’ve searched everywhere to find out which coil goes to which Rubicon and had no luck. I did however find which rubicon my suspension went...
If anyone is wondering, these coils are from a rubicon hard top, plastic bumpers, and 3.6 gas engine. Higher numbers are for the passenger side. I hope this info helps someone one day.
The rubicon front coils will get you a 1” inch lift over the stock Overland coils, however the shock length of the rubicon shocks vs the overland are the same length. My suggestion to you would be to get shock extension brackets (so you maintain the travel of the shocks) or go with a shock made...
well, you kinda screwed yourself by doing the spacer lift kit, if you’re also trying to level it. You COULD, get a set of rubicon front coils which will give you about a 1” lift in the front and keep the rear coils stock.
Anyone running 35/12.5/R18’s on stock wheels? I have a JTO, adding a rubicon take off suspension (shocks and springs), Teraflex 1.5” leveling kit front, with the Daystar 3/4” rear spacer to keep a little rake. Anyone running this type of setup? Any rubbing with the positive offset of the OEM...
Just picked up a set of Rubicon take off shocks and coils and I am having difficulty finding which side these coils go to..
Front: 6362AA and 6363AA
Rear: 6210AA and 6211AA
Anyone have an idea if these are from a Rubicon with a plastic bumper or steel bumper? Which part number goes to which...
