Other than being easy on the pedal, I believe the biggest change you can make to get better MPG is to reduce your driving speed when on the freeway/interstate.

Yep, that's what I will be doing once my factory tires are worn out...swapping for some JL take-offs.

Now that I think about it, I had a 2020 Compass with ESS and it never shut off on me when I parked it as well. It only ever shut off while coming to stops in traffic.
