The county has an air down law. If you get stuck and weren't aired down you can be given a ticket. They patrol the beach regularly. Folks not airing down, getting stuck and disrupting the traffic flow was such an issue, the law was created. Too bad it had to come to this.

The frequency range for FM requires a longer antenna than what you may see on vehicles with VHF, UHF, 800 radios. However, stubby type antennas do give some reception, especially when your closer to towers. Go with what you like. It's your ride!
