Already used my two free oil changes, so changed it myself. First time on this Jeep and super-easy.
I wonāt mention the brand of oil and filter, as it would start another multi-page debate š¤£
So, I brought the car in last Friday and they again told me 3-5 days before they could look at the Jeep. When I explained the problem (and jumped up and down on the back bumper to demonstrate the noise), the tech said, āThat seems pretty straightforward. Iāll make sure someone takes a quick look...
The 1976 CJ5 we drove in high school. Thatās my Uncle George playing around in the driverās seat. He was a great guy.
Unfortunately, both are gone now.
Got the ARB. Getting off the ground is a game changer. I added an air mattress inside⦠setup is 10-15 minutes if Iām taking my time.
I pointed the ladder out the back so I could open all the awnings.
I called four different dealerships. They all have the same policy.
I asked if they could just call me when theyāre ready for the car, and I bring it up 3-5 days later. They said no, it has to sit on their lot in a queue for those 3-5 days.
I understand they are busy and shorthanded, so the 3 weeks to get into the shop makes some sense. The 3-5 days sitting in their parking lot before they look at the vehicle makes no sense⦠they are just not good at scheduling.
Itās absurd, inconvenient, and unprofessional.
Hey Jeep Cares,
Do you have any idea why every dealership in the Denver-metro area is over three weeks to schedule an appointment?
And the worst part is they say once they get the Jeep, itās 3-5 days before they even look at it? They canāt seem to explain why they canāt just schedule my...
I did do that. It seems tight.
The shock is pretty clearly the problem. I had a friend jump on the bumper, and you can hear and actually feel the shock has issues.
Thanks for the tip. Iāll call the dealer and see if itās a warranty item. Iāve never done anything that would cause it to fail.
The Mopar website says shocks are covered.
