  1. Another Gladiator build....White JTRD

Curious what consists of a rear end 'blowing up'? I traded in my diesel on the new Gladiator. Was getting ~19 with my 2010 Cummins (it was slightly modified), now getting around the same with the Gladiator. Not going crazy with a build on it at this time, already have 2 built Jeeps in the...
  2. Is

I'm a new Gladiator owner, bought it just about a month ago. I am a Jeeper at heart and need a pickup to haul things. Stepped down from a 2500 Cummins that was built quite a bit. Not going to say I don't miss the power, but the Gladiator has been great thus far. It feels like a Jeep, rides a...
  3. Wirring / humming noise in front differential

I'll also add, for a good laugh, you should hear the gear noise my Stak 3-spd makes when going down the highway if my front hubs aren't unlocked; even when only in 2wd... My TJ is also lucky to make it up to 55 mph too. Not sure exact model of tcase the Gladiators run, assuming np231 and...
  4. Wirring / humming noise in front differential

Glad to hear it's slick and not dry pavement, just never know the things that get tried these days. :) With it being so cold, even metal shrinks, hopefully it goes away once things warm up. But as others have suggested, might be a good idea to check fluids are full. Jim
  5. Wirring / humming noise in front differential

My concern is the engagement of 4wd on the highway. That is if you're talking on dry pavement? Jim
  6. Replacing sprk plugs, how big of a pain will it be?

That would certainly make a whole lot more sense... Happy Monday. I didn't replace hers at that time, still haven't, she has 150k on the clock now. Jim
  7. Replacing sprk plugs, how big of a pain will it be?

I stuck an x-factor 2.5" rock krawler kit on her rig about that time too (so yep). Before that, we were running budget boost, shock extensions, factory rubi coils/arms and 35" duratracs. Fully belly armor, PSC flat fenders and brawler rockers, and the thing performed admirably. After the...
  8. New 2024 Mojave - Flickering Cab Lights

Mine griped about aux switches not available due to batteries charging. That evening I removed the aux battery from the mix and popped out that one fuse. Haven't had any issues since and already have 1200 miles on it. Jim
  9. Replacing sprk plugs, how big of a pain will it be?

I changed plugs in my wife's JKUR probably 5 years ago when she hit 100k. The passenger side is a piece of cake, drivers side, not so much... Intake manifold has to come apart which isn't really a huge complicated deal, just adds some bad words and takes lots more time. I don't believe the...
  10. I spent a week with the Hurricane I6

There's a big difference between a v8 and an i6, it's this thing called length. Sometimes that really does matter... :D Jim
  11. I spent a week with the Hurricane I6

Sounds like software glitches, hard failures, gaskets, turbos, etc. I'm a fan of I6 as well, just not a fan of squeezing blood from a turnip like we seem to keep trying to do with these little engines. I can press him for more details, but as a whole, he is not a fan.. My '01 TJ has the 4.0...
  12. I spent a week with the Hurricane I6

I have a good friend that operates a large dealer's service center. His words were "Hurricane engines have awesome power but they're garbage". I'm glad my new Gladiator has the 3.6. Jim
  13. Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋

Been long-time Jeeper, have 4 at the house currently, wife's '12 JKURubicon, youngest's '13 JKSport, my new '24JTWillys & the old '01TonTJ for when things get real... The Gladiator is primary vehicle for when weather isn't good enough for the Challenger, will occasionally tow and I needed a...
